madman_us
im looking into a new sander, this time I go from a ROS (which I already own) to a 1/2 sheet sander.better to say I looked into the Bosch OS50VC. I think you will get better results on a larger area than we youdo it with ROS. I really never used one before, just watched a couple youtube vids and read reviews. Nordraw
I have a Bosch random Orbital sander and have been happy with it. Looks like a good buy
BK13
I've been looking at a 1/4 sheet sander, nearly pulled the trigger on a Mikata or DeWalt. What is the advantage of a 1/2 sheet over a 1/4 sheet? Able to sand large flat surfaces more effectively?
madman_us
BK, its just twice as big like you can assume I think you can sand quicker because your tool is bigger. for example when you sand table tops, cabinet doors etc.
BK13
What I thought. Thanks, MM.
madman_us
and it has vibration control - the 1/4 sheet sander from bosch don't has that. so that's a nice feature right there.when I use my bosch ROS for about 30mins or longer, my hand and joints are hurting real bad
