eric
I HAVE THE PANCAKE (RED) COMPRESSOR IT TAKES FOREVER TO SHUT OFF OR RECOVER . IT SEEMS THAT THE GUAGE IS VERY SLOW WHEN THE COMPRESSOR IS TRYING TO FILL THE TANK. ANY IDEAS WHAT COULD BE WRONG - I NEED SOME HELP-- THANKS
NY Tool Worker
Sounds goofy, but have you checked the oil level in the tank? Depends upon your compressor tyle, but some have a crank shaft and a seal could be cracked or worn and leaking air, not enough pressure. I would start by chekcing these two items first, then we can move from there.
PowerToolBox
check for leaks in the hoses or the couplers. also check to make sure that the pressure switch is not leaking. direct drive compressors usually do take a lot longer to load, and re-load to begin with, if "forever" is really only about 4-5 minutes then thats normal. otherwise i would say the pressure switch is bad
