comp56 Posted March 5, 2015 Report Share Posted March 5, 2015 only fault I see is he should have made the hole for the handle and nut out of one piece of steel from a block (2 holes at 90 one of which would have been tapped to fit ready rod instead of welding nut as it will be trouble some the way he welded it......not any good to weld graded nuts unless you know exactly what nut you have .....a449, a325, a193, grade b7, f1554 grade, 105, a354 grades bc bd anf a490 among many others.....20"+ bar can snap 3/8" of a weld with little to no effort.....twist that handle off as it can be brittle as glass.....
