ChrisK
Have you tried cutting wood with it yet? I hear what your recording too but I don't have a Dewalt jig so I can't speak to whether or not that's normal.
ChrisK
Oh, and welcome to the forum!
kruton
I know the Bosch I have isn't as harsh as that, but like ChrisK said I have never used a Dewalt so I don't know if that's some type of braking mechanism or just a sound it makes. Hopefully some dewalt guys can weigh in.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
comp56
i don't have a dewalt but if it cuts .....
bob13bob
it cuts, but I have no other jig saw to compare it too. Don't want to be using a broken tool without even knowing it.
ChrisK
Well, if it's cutting and not binding I'd think you'd be okay. Are blade changes going alright? How "used" is it? What orbital setting have you got it in? Have you tried other orbital settings? If it got a lot of use you might want to change the brushes in the saw. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/brush-p-832116.htmlI'm not sure which model of saw you have but after researching, here is the brush for the Type 1 Dewalt DW317 Orbital saw. The link is to e replacements which is an awesome company to do business with. Outside of that unfortunately....I haven't a clue as I've never used that guy before! Good luck dude, and keep us posted on what you find out!
