  5. ".... welcome to the club"

    ((Bosch and Milwaukee have already announced)

    Dewalt has officially announced that they will be coming out with a new line of heated jackets starting in the Fall.

    I found some info on USA sites;

    Not sure if this also applies to Europe (EU) / UK

    The info always talks about 12v max or 20v max = USA;

    but we all know in this forum the batteries are identical and just a marketing approch

    12 v max = 10,8V in Europe

    info credit goes to the USA sites, but it is on public web sites

    ==>

    Dewalt’s line of heated jackets can be powered by their 12V Max or 20V Max lithium-ion battery packs. This allows for hours of core body warmth and continuous heat.

    There will be 4 different jacket styles:

        Soft shell work jacket

        Hooded work jacket

        True Timber camouflage jacket

        True Timber blaze orange camouflage jacket

    Each jacket has a water and wind-resistant outer shell, 3 temperature settings plus pre-heat mode, and 3 core body heating zones. The soft shell work jacket and camo jackets also have a fourth heating zone in the collar.

        Heating zones: left and right chest, back, collar (certain styles only)

        Heating settings: low, med, high, pre-heat

        LED controller

    The heating elements are powered by Dewalt’s new USB power source that can also charge up to two USB-compatible devices.

    Soft shell work jacket (DCHJ060): 4 heating zones, 5 pockets, water-resistant polyester outer shell, adjustable cuffs and waist. MSRP $159, Kit $209.

    Hooded work jacket (DCHJ061): 3 heating zones, 4 pockets, water-resistant twill outer shell, hood with drawstring. MSRP $149, Kit $199.

    True Timber camo jacket (DCHJ062): 4 heating zones, 7 pockets, soft noise-limiting camouflage outer shell, removable hook with neck and face guard. (In other words, it’s a hunting jacket.) MSRP $229, Kit $179.*

    True Timber Blaze Orange camo jacket (DCHJ063): 4 heating zones, 7 pockets, soft noise-limiting camouflage outer shell, removable hood with neck and face guard. MSRP $229, Kit $179.*

    *Note: We’re checking to see if the prices were reversed or if the kit versions are $279 instead of $179.

    Heated jacket kits come with the jacket, a 12V/20V USB power source, DCB201 20V Max 1.5Ah Li-ion battery pack, and DCB101 20V Max charger.

    Sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL. 2XL and 3XL sizes will cost $10 more.

    2)

    Interesting fall/winter

    now we just also need the multi tool in a cordless version !!!!!

    cheers!!

  6. Great news !

    some questions:

    please try to explain text on picture

    "comprehensive range of multi tools accessories also available.

    Able to fit all leading  multi tools"

    is this a "one-way street " means the accessories will fit other multi tools

    but access. from e.g Bosch / FEIN will NOT fit the Dewalt ????

    (This would be very sad)

    to me it looks like it; the opening in the accessory seem to slide in;

    2)

    looks much like the B&D and Porter Cable Version already available since months

    3)

    what is the word/rumor on a 18V cordless Version of the tool

    thx

    mike

  7. Hi

    I have not seen any posts on the topic "multi port" so I decided to start it;

    I stumled over this while searching on youtube for "Dewalt"

    we all know Dewalt had their Media Day April 18 and a couple of posts / youtube videos are avail.

    Dewalt is launching two new corded/cordless vacuums

    USA 20V max (Europe 18V) for the XR slide-on batteries but also (read on ....)

    the vacs are the follow ups of the DC500

    dvc580 2 gallon vac

    / cordless only

    these vacs are neat: they have a so called multi port; means

    the traditional batteries AND the slide on batteries fit !!!

    stem pack and slide on

    approx. $99-$119 sometime June 2013

    DCV581H cordless (DC)  and AC

    avail 3rd Q 2013

    2)

    does anybody know if more tools/devices are planned with the dual port functionality ???

  8. no access nor subscription to the magazine from Europe

    can anyone scan those pages and send a private message

    I assume posting in the forum would be a copyright problem

    would be highly appreciated;

    maybe someone else hase similar / other pictures of the item mentioned !!!

    thx

    mike

  9. yes,

    I can confirm;

    The only difference is the charger; (and the warranty issue as you mention)

    once you have re located just contact me;

    I have plenty of chargers to sell

    both the dcb105 (220 V) and the dcb119 (12V vehicle charger) are always in stock

    (approx. 20 of each)

    mike

  10. hi

    "bad news"

    just spoke to a Dewalt rep

    delay of the radio/charger in Germany (looks like valid for all Europe) till June 2013

    I don't know the reason, but my personal assumption (from rumors) is that the radio will have a bit more functionality

    like DAB, DAB+

    nevertheless: bad marketing (as the radio/charger should already be on market more than 6 months/initial start of XR range)

  11. with orange I assume you mean the Rigid tool;

    and not the FEIN;

    we all know the Fein kicks Bum, they invented it

    otheres still have to proove !

    can't wait; 10 moths would be too long

    it seems Dewalt marketing team does not have the proper focus on what we want/need

    they have been late with a lot of stuff

  12. hi;

    just coming back from one of the largest trade fairs in Germany; lot of DeWalt news;

    I will post in several categories

    Radio (for 18V/ 20V max batteries, and of course 10,8/ 12V max batteries)

    naming convention in Europe

    DCR016 = Radio with bass & treble speakers (no charger function), USB charger

    DCR017 = Radio and charger

    both are listed now in the 2013 catalog to be available April 2013

    very nice ! ... a bit too late , but worth waiting for !!!

    2) just to keep interest up high

    also shown was the dcn690 nailer

    ds250 tough box (2 drawer)

    dwe396, DWE397 alligator saws

    dcs373 18V/20v max = metal cutting circ. saw

  13. yes and no

    dcn690 nailer in

    Europe is 18V cordless XR system

    in USA name will prob. be the same but marketed as a 20V max tool

    (I also assume that with this tool the 4,0AH (amp) batteries will be introduced in USA

    we have those batteries more than 6 months already in Europe

    (again the batts are identical, 18v in Europe, marketed as 20v max in USA)

    the alligator is a corded saw

    (like dw393)

  14. well, I'm from Europe (Germany)

    Literature, Product catalogs and Quarterly flyers are much better here than in USA

    (yes, we have Quarterly flyers !!!)

    Already in the 2012 product catalog two items have been marked as discontinued / phased out

    date printed were approx. July 2012 for

    dc330 jigsaw

    dc411 angle grinder

    the 2013 product catalog should be availabel Mid January, as we have a big trade show in Germany

    at the trade show also the dcn690 nailer will be shown and available immediately

    there is also a new alligator saw coming;

    more details to follow approx. Jan 16 2013
