Summer07
Not very familiar with power tools, I bought a new cordless hammer drill from Makita and I have a question, is there suppose to be a space between the chuck and the speed selector? wingless
Welcome to the forum. According to the images on the Makita site, that XPH11ZB is supposed to have a gap between the chuck and the body. Enjoy your new tool. https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XPH11ZB

HiltiWpg
The gap is required to allow for the hammer action.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
