  1. Whoa whoa whoa Red. It's a bottle opener dude! Don't be dissing on Milwaukee for developing the BEST bottle opener on the planet!

I know, I know, I know. It's Milwaukee, they innovated the bottle opener by putting a wire stripper on it, so of course it should cost $10-$15. The thing is we always gripe about gimmiky stuff, unless our favorite company does it; then we call it innovation and pay through the nose for it.

No thanks. I'll stick to my pencils that I seem to always get for free or my $1 5 pack of Sharpies at the dollar store, and my 97¢ bottle opener.

  2. For me it depends on use and quality. For me any money spent on things like electric grease guns, caulking guns, pipe cutters is foolish. My manual tools work just fine for the amount I use them. If I were more into woodworking, I would want top notch tools; Festool isn't worth the investment for me. When I was logging I tore through 5 pairs of Carhartt pants in my first half season so, after asking around, I sprung almost $400 on two pair of Filson tin pants. They were worth every penny, I made it through 5 seasons with them and they were just broken in, plus I resold them for $200. For most folks that would be an insane amount of money for work pants, for me it actually saved me money. Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you pay for a name, hopefully when you balance out price, usage, and quality you get what you need. Of course if money isn't an object then you can buy for status whether it's quality or not.

Then there is the fact that no matter the quality of your gear, it doesn't make you better or worse than the next guy, what matters is if you have the skills.

  3. My Nicks Woodsman are killer boots. Their Hoffman winter packs are the bomb. One of these days I'm gonna take them in and have the caulk soles replaced, their only for walking on wood and ice. Nothing will screw up your floor worse than traipsing around with your nails on.

  4. Rock and roll baby. George thorogood, ACDC, Metalica, Boston (of course) Aerosmith (of course) Led Zep, all the way to Folk and Coffee House. I do Like some country but not too much though. Remember boys we northerners have to repress that stuff!!! Rap and Hip Hop....well I have nothing intelligent to say about that except the old Beastie Boys and give it up for Boston's Dropkick Murphy's!!

When I heard Shipping up to Boston in The Departed I thought it was Flogging Molly. I love that song.

  5. I think it's supposed to be like E GO, just a guess from their logo. The about us section on their web site is pretty vague. No real user reviews yet.Home Depot exclusive it seems.

The facebook page has been open since March but no post until December 12.

The tools look nice and the prices aren't crazy. 5 year warranty is cool. I guess we'll see later in the year when more people are buying/using them.

  6. We had a photographer here a couple years back just about got hit by a train because she was taking some kids senior pictures on some tracks

She ended up abandoning her gear on the tracks. The dumbass tried to sue the RR for her gear and lost wages. She was pissed when she ended up getting a fine for trespassing instead. lol

  7. It all depends for me. My parent influence was classic rock, Eagles, CCW, J Giles Band etc. I lived with my grand parents after my folk's messy divorce and listened to classical, big band, and early country Haggard, Jenings and best of all Cash. I also like grunge/alt like Nirvana, Heavy metal like Metallica and Disturbed, early rap Beasty Boys. 90s country like Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and rodeo/western music like Chris LeDoux. So anything from Mozart to Metallica depending on my mood.

  8. Aside from a couple of pry/demo bars, and a 21oz Hart framing hammer,( hints from my girlfriend that she wants the plaster and lath and wood paneling down), I got cash and gift cards.

Among other things I got my gf an m12 heated hoodie. I took the battery and charger out of the box and put them in her stocking. She put on such a pretty smile with so much anger in her eyes I almost lost it. The last gift she got was the hoodie box with the hoodie and a couple of bricks for weight. When she took the gift you could see the steam coming out of her ears. She was pretty excited when she pulled out the hoodie. She absolutely loves it and shows it off to her friends. Three of the gals we work with have asked where to send their husbands to get one for them. Lol

  9. Merry Christmas Chris. Like my great-grandma used to say at Christmas dinner, "My Christmas wish for all is to never forget what is worth remembering or remember what is best forgotten. Keep those you love close to heart even when gone you shall not part."

Of course she was Irish so it sounded awesome with her accent.
