  1. What?!? Really? Bosch? I love Bosch, if that's true then I guess I actually have a Bosch router! I have that plus the Ridgid palm router which is sweet. So here is the question, who is actually an American manufacturer of tools? Obviously not cordless power because as far as I know there are no cordless tools made in the USA. I have a Craftsman circular and radial arm made in USA but unfortunately that is it!

  2. I will add that I have a Ryobi contractor saw. On account I paid 150 for it brand new. I was at Sears looking at the Craftsman contractor saw and there high end contractor type saw with the roll away table looked and had stats IDENTICAL to my Ryobi. Just red and yellow instead of blue and yellow. That blew me away. Then I heard the same thing that Conductor562 said and there you go! I will qualify my purchase of a Ryobi table saw as I am not a pro and the fact that ,my wife gave me a saw...wow! I didn't even have to suck my thumb and start screaming at the top of my lungs! That's how I got my Milwaukee router!

  3. That's where I am! Ends up I buy and sell tools on CL and eBay and am able to increase my collection without having to ask my wife for money. Doesn't matter if I work details or overtime, "honey, can I buy that new router" generally ends in "babe why do you ask"?!!!!!? But I guess a tool addiction is better than gambling!!!!

  4. Thanks Wayne! Free is me and that is an awesome deal! The torque rating online is impressive and the 3.0ah are a good thing too! I don't have any Hitachi cordless, just my random orbit which is great. I think I will give it a go this weekend, I am cleaning up and organizing my basement workshop! Tapcons are going to be going the other direction when they see me coming!

  5. So, does anybody have experience with Hitachi 18v Brush less tools? I just won and received a Hitachi DV18DBL brush less hammer kit. The tool is quite impressive, it's lighter than my Milwaukee and there are 8 power settings on it! Just curious, the tool is pretty sweet but other than handling it and charging the batteries, I have done nothing with it yet as I got it this afternoon. It feels really well made and the chuck looks solid.

  6. Oh my lord! That's would be a baaaaad thing! I was watching Top Gear BBC America (which is WAY better than our version) and they were talking about the environmental impact taken for the battery packs used in that shoe! Now here in America they are making a mandatory noise generator into law (if it passes) because all of those genius college professors that drive the things keep running over their students on campus because they cannot hear the thing coming! I wonder if getting hit by a Prius is like getting hit by a pillow in one of those lingerie wearing female slumber parties (my wife swears this is a man made image and these parties never happen but in my head.... :) oh they happen!)

  7. Yeah. Rear hind quarters ugly! That is the politically correct way of saying a derogatory statement! Man, I've got all sorts of those!!! I love my brother and he is obviously smarter than me when it comes to fuel consumption but really ?!? A Prius ?!? But hey, I'm sure he and his wife were like "hey let's buy a farm and a Prius. That dumb a#$ brother of your has a truck!"

  8. Ain't that the truth! My wife and I walked by a Prius at Lowes today and I said "wanna bet Chuck Norris doesn't drive one of those"? My wife laughed. Which got me to think. Two years ago, my brother and I went to a local business in Maine to help wire up a chicken coup. I had my !Milwaukee tools. We pulled up to the bakery (the business) and got of out of his Prius. People were looking. I said "dude...why'd you get a Prius? You know what we look like"? Hahahahahaha. I told him next time, were taking my Ram. The mileage might not be nearly as good, but I got enough guys checking me out!

  9. I had the same problem! Makita and Milwaukee! My reception in my basement work shop should not be bad but I got rid of the Makita. Bought the M18. Just sold it on CL. I'm going to buy the Bosch today. That is a radio!

  10. So here is a conversation starter. Does anybody have a direct comparison between the three speed Milwaukee fuel impact and Makita's three speed brush less impact? Just curious, I have the M18 Fuel but HD in the next town over has the Makita lxdt01 kit for $179. Clearance. Which made me think...hmmmm should I or should I not.

  11. What a sleez bag! Guys like that need to have a couple of teeth pulled before paying the customer back! EBay buyer protection works, but... after you wait a month you normally get your money back. Once a confirmed case is opened they should reimburse you back right away and then continue after the jerk seller. I am aware of this cause I just went through ANOTHER buyer protection case where I got hosed AGAIN.

  12. As far as the grinder, I don't know. I would check Milwaukees site for the V19 lime. Conductor562 also spoke on the rebuilds quality for LI and I agree too. I know the NiCad and NiMH rebuilds are good. I would look at the reviews before dumping fifty bucks. I do know there is an online store on eBay that does the rebuilds for Makita BL1830 and the reviews have been pretty positive. I know of a rebuild place in southern Maine but to be honest, I sent them a Panasonic NiMH battery back year or so ago, and followed up for six weeks and they never sent me the battery. Not a happy camper.
