  1.  I have a few Dewalt OPE however it is limited to the 20v blower, 20v weed whacker and the 20v trimmer. Great tools, love them but man last year they liquidated the 40v stuff. Not sure where it is. The site still shows the tools as available but...at least they have remained true to the 18v/20v line and still produce 18v tools. I really wanted the new 60v mower but have heard a mixed bag on it. I will say i have the M18 HD chainsaw. Nice machine, lots of power very smooth.

That's a useless tool in cordless format.

A 10" saw is not meant to be portable. When you buy a 10" saw you put it in a place and don't move it for decades.

So making one cordless is irrational.

They are sacrificing power, weight and size for what benefit? None...

I move my 10” cordless saw all the time both in my shop and out in the field. Most recently using it on a deck build out of my truck. I’m not sure I need a 12” but my 10” cordless is designed to be very portable. It fits nicely in my 4Runner and also on a portable shop bench. I imaging if I was framing homes having a cordless 12” would be pretty sweet but alas that’s not what I ever plan on doing 👍

  3. Welcome to the forums. Which saw do you have? Is it possible that you jumped off the guide? I have the Festool and the base shoe of the saw has adjustable wheels that allow for lateral movement in the guide. Hope this helps,

  4. Nope shouldn’t touch the blade. Two resolutions, return it or take the blade of and bent it back in place. I wouldn’t spend money on spare parts as you just got it and a another recon unit can be sent out but I would think you can straighten it out. Big thing is if you do, take the blade out, you don’t want to cause damage to the blade or the shaft.

Picked up the Bosch 6" ROS65VC. HD had it as a deal of the day for $159 regularly $229. Amazon had it the same price plus the $20 off over $100 purchase. I've been wanting this sander for a long time. Tried it out today and holy crap is it powerful. Such a difference over my 5" festool and Bosch. The larger disc is nice but the power alone will make Sanding jobs go faster. Now I just need pads. It only came with one 120 grit. 5b70bbd6de11ab06157c31ace771b31e.jpg

You’ll lovely, I  love mine. DC is on par with my Festools when used with a vac. I recommend the mesh Mirka pads Ryan, they are cost effective and allow for great dust collection. The dust canister actually works quite well on its own. I have the 5&6” pads with mine.

  6. Not sure, maybe they save up to buy the most important tool in their shop and they consider the tablesaw to be that? I have a Sawstop and love it. I have the Contractor CNS model and bought it on eBay for a marked decrease but I have a lot of pro level tools as I’m pretty blessed.

  7. I’ve had the Rolair for five years. The only Rolair I’ve had, I love it, no issues, oil free. The Dewalt is louder but being my last compressor before the Rolair was a Craftsman stacked the Flexvolt is worlds quieter than that. It’s not a Rolair though but I bought it because it’s cordless and I can use it outside.

I almost pulled the trigger on this deal at HD, but decided to behave at the last second - that'll teach me.

Question for you - How does this compressor work with a blower for compressed air?  How long can you use a blower before it has to kick on again?  I've heard the small 1 gallon tanks just can't blow much more than a benchtop before having to cycle on again.

I honestly cannot comment, I really haven’t had it long enough to use it for anything to reach than my Grex pinner. It’s a bit louder than my JC10 and I bought this for field work but had to play with it in the shop. I can say I like the machine just fine for what I have used it for and the build quality is really decent. Sorry bro wish I could add more than that!

Like Nielsen chisels. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 1/2" fishtail chisel.

Cauliflower sawstop zero clearance throat plate. Made from aluminum with removable inserts so you don't have a bunch of throat plates. 38c07a832130c86dbc1b7df8c5446540.jpg8e12deca44efa5049055b74c1f7f5c09.jpg3be9abc8a92da22559f4a0ef68ce1c60.jpg

Do you have info on those plates?

    Hi everyone,

I've recently moved to the US from the UK and have brought my Dewalt tools with me. I'm having real difficultly deciphering how I'm going to be able to charge my batteries now that I'm here. I've had a lot of conflicting advice from several people so thought I'd turn to the real experts.  I've attached two images of my current batteries and charger.

The options I've been suggested so far are:

    1) Just use a USA to UK adapter with my current setup, it might charge slower but it'll still work. (My concerns with this is that the charger states it wants a 230V input which it isn't going to get so might not work)

    2) Buy a DEWALT DCB112 charger (photograph attached). Charger states it charges '12v/20v' which to my UK brain says it will charge either 12v OR 20V and not my 18V batteries. I've also read that the US 20V batteries are essentially the same as the 18V batteries, can someone shed some light on this for me please?

    3) Buy some USA 20V batteries and they'll work fine in my 18V UK tools. (Seems a very expensive solution to me!)

    4) Find a Dewalt charger with a US plug that charges 18V batteries however I don't think such a thing exists! (Unless it is the DCB112?!?)

Naturally option 1 is the cheapest and I'm not too concerned by an increased charge time as I can rotate batteries easily but don't want to risk damage to the batteries (both short and long term).

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Will

Welcome to the forums bro and ditto @Big Adam

  11. Ha. Move to New England. Few hurricanes, fewer tornadoes, the wildlife ain’t trying to kill you. The worse thing is the driving, but I’ve been to Florida and yeesh.... everything... EVERYTHING.... is trying to kill you! Plus...New England has...Tom Brady. Nuff said.

As far as the saw? Beats me bro, have you tried replacing the brushes in it? Also, welcome to the forums.
