  1. Any of you guys use this method?

I was thinking of getting a pruning blade for my cordless tigersaw once my 4.0ah batteries get here.

Just wondering if they actually work pretty good and if so which one did you use?

Generally buy Freud blades but open to suggestions ;)

Hopefully Lenox sends me my blade sample ;)

  2. Interesting topic.  I tend to take alot of care with all my tools. I'm cheap when I buy into tools its generally for the long haul. I always buy the best stuff I can.

I have tools in my roll away at work that are over 20 years old,yet you'd never really tell. Sure they have some scratches and dings here and there but they function perfectly.

  3. Couple good write ups over on Toolguyd for the 12v stuff.

I have not tried any of the milwaukee fuel line, but from what ive read they are really good. For me it would come down to price comparisons or if i had other tools that used the same battery type. But if small size is what you really want hard to beat the Bosch in that respect.

  4. Wiha makes some that are 4", 6" and 12" in length.

I like the ones Dewalt makes too.althou I dunno what lengths they make other than the 2 inchers I have.

I havent used them but assume the ones Klein makes are good.

  5. The Bosch 12v stuff is nice, and crazy compact. Bought a set for the wife to use and she said thats what I have you for. So ive been using them instead of grabbing the 20v.

Honestly you just gotta decide what batteries you wanna use.  With the 4.0ah battery it lasts forever.

  6. The Wera six piece set is about $28 or so on Amazon.  I really like the kraftform handles they use. If you have big hands the Weras are nicer to use in my opinion.

You could also consider the ESD ones as they are yellow and black(instead of green and black) like your Dewalt stuff ;)

Im a bit OCD about my tools being matching colorations.

  7. Hey guys,

My name is Mike,i'm 38 years old from California. I grew up in machine shops and have been a professional machinist for about 20 years now.

Came across this site from another site I read frequently ToolGuyd.com

Nice to see how much info is here.

I love tools and everything about them. Been doing some projects around the house so my tool selection at home has expanded recently quite nicely.

See you guys around the forums ;)

  8. Just find some decent high speed steel drills and you will have good luck witht he materials you wanna drill  :)

Precision twist drill, rocky mountain twist drills just a couple examples you can research.

Not sure i would even want to use a drill from a big box type store, but working in machine shops has made drill access easy for me.

Lenox holesaws are very nice, cant say enough good things about mine.

  9. Guess that technically depends what kind of "bits" we are talking about here.

Wera = defiantely cream of the crop as far socket bits.

Dewalt flextorq seem pretty good too.

For drill bits, since i work in a machine shop i wouldnt use anything other than precision or rocky mountain twist drills for regular drills.
