The new Dewalt 18 gauge gun showed up today took longer then expected. Fired about 10 nails just to make sure it was alive, shot very nice. I puled out the old hard case from the original 18v XRP gun and using a sharp razor knife made it fit the new gun like a glove with its tiny ass 2AH battery attached. Actually have a small trim project to use it on this weekend two doors and seven windows should be fun. The ridgid 18g I disliked since new will now sit on a shelf as backup.

That multi tool is a fucking piece of shit. The vibration is sickening, has no power and is a toy. Anyone who "loves" it has never used a professional grade multitool..the blade selection sucks, no thanks. Get yourself a Bosch or fein. Sorry for the rant.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkCould not disagree more the two cordless dewalt multi tools we use are worked hard very often. They replaced corded bosch units on the truck. The MTP 100 piece blade set from amazon are decent blades and its nice to only lose $2 a pop when you dull one.

We own the apartments behind the current project and drag a single cord 150 ft for a compressor or chop saw/table saw. Just do not care to charge batteries at the same time to prevent tripping the breaker or voltage drop damage.

For the last three weeks my 4 man crew has discharged nearly every battery on the tool truck each day. That is 10-6ah flex volt 5-5ah and 8-4ah. House demo/reno has my garage charge room busy every night. I have only two 2ah that were from kits which I have never used look like little babies.

It is a nice saw however I have only used it corded, no since using batteries when powers just a cord away.

Sorry I have no need for those items.

My local store had one in stock so I got the 20 off promo as well.

Home depot has the Dewalt DCN660D1 kit on sale for $249.99 worth grabbing if your in need.

The hard case lasts forever takes a beating and was a great place to store nails for the old 18v xrp. I suspect the 18 gauge will fit into the box for the 16 g with few changes.

Yeah I did not see a bare tool got the kit with the 20 off 100 promotion. And after another look it does say case Included.

Acmetools has the DCN680 on pre sale now expected June 01st, 2017. Put my order in will miss the hard case the 18v had however.

That M28 line lost them any chance to sell me the m18 line ever. M12 is damn handy however.

This new gun looks larger then the old 18gauge XRP that worked great. No reason this should have taken so long.

It is pretty slick but the darn thing tips over easy enough as it is with out extra height.

This is incorrect.
The DeWalt green lasers cannot be locked and set St an angle, however, when on and set at an angle the lasers will project the angle desired.
The only thing the laser does is periodically blink multiple times to let you know it is out of level (~30 seconds solid then 3 blinks then ~30 seconds solid).
It works, I've done it. So have others.
Nice to see the warning flashes prevented me from using it like that worried about hurting the pendulum.

If you have the DW089LG it will not turn on unless unlocked so it can not do angles.

Never a had a problem with my 3 I have......I frame with it and build decks every weekend ,I use 3 1/2" paslode galv paper nails..nailing into 2x10 pressure treated joist and 6x6 pt ..sinks every nail, maybe jammed 1 time .....I love it I use Flexvolt batteries on it.....the metal connector gun is amazing also aka (hanger gun) ..,,..........most of time if people are not sinking nails it's set wrong or wrong nails...
How many nails have you ran through your guns?
I have a DCN 692 that can no longer sink anything but 8penny after 30000 nails sent it in to dewalt for repair when it stopped firing and it will shoot again but just no longer has the power needed. The DCN 690 has been great dewalt however will not get to fix any more nailers for me.

I want the new tools as well and will avoid the Bluetooth stuff.

Waiting for the new Dewalt 20v max cordless tools I saw on here months ago,..like the 20v max brad gun ..or a two pack of 9ah /3ah ? I saw on YT the new sds max 60v ,nice but I think it was 800 with 2/9ah bats...and at 6.1 joules (4.5ft/lbs) at least its close to Milwaukees at 5ft/lbs...or the 60v adapter ? Just wondering ...
I really want that 18 gauge brad gun as well. Picked up the 18 gauge ridgid hyperdrive when my 18 volt dewalt died its a lousy replacement for the 8 year old dewalt

Damn I need more to keep up only have ten 6ah packs.
Oh and why did you keep the red lids I threw those suckers right in the trash did I miss something?

Brace the granite with blocking, the cabinet front will not give enough support to cut and reshape in place.

I would sure like to see a 6 or 8 pack flexvolt charger similar to the 40v outdoor charger.
