My good old dewalt 18v 18g died in January dang thing lasted 8 years. I replaced it with a ridged hyper drive 18g and I miss the dewalt every single nail shot. The only thing good at all about the ridgid hyper drive is its on a newer battery system.

I do not like mine it just does not feel right, should have returned it before the 90 day time limit.

Dewalt also returns tools in pieces if you pass on a repair. I had a recip returned under warranty coverage rejected because of water damage. I do not think I had more then 12 months on the recip and that claim of water damage was bs.

No over heating of the tool, here their website advises not to use their premium batteries which are their higher amperage.
That only warns about not using them on 2 lower range drills. No problems with the 29oz adhesive spreader/old grinder/old higher end drills. Truth is I would burn these old tools up to keep from toting a case of old batteries. They need a new29oz adhesive tool on the 20v.

I have had two of these for months you can use any amp hour 20v(2-3-4-5ah) battery with them in the tools they work on.

I have a dcn690 and a dcn692 pretty good cordless guns. Changed the return springs on the dcn692 at 17000 nails fired and its going strong no other problems.
Could this be a Dewalt PVC Cutter?

That's a ratchet style cutter for large wire.
