Well Nalu, I guess you answered your question... you aren't too old!! Nice work man and congratulations

Yup. The only downside i's the 2k + price to do front and rear.. you know how many tools I could buy with that money
-
Nate, that is slick man!! You got some skills
-
I.don't know what they usually go for but that looks like a solid saw for 600.. as long as it has a square and solid fence then I say go for it
-
Haha. Creative. I'll give him that.
That technically works!
And look on the bright side, your top landing is bigger now!!
If your good with it then roll with it, otherwise give the property manager some hell

3.08 Can you believe that shit!! I'm sure they put those in to pump up their highway epa numbers
-
Damn. 9k!! That's just stupid. Why would they even design it like that..
Didnt the powerstroke have head or head gasket issues a while back also? My buddy had one and was always nervous about it
I'm a GM fan straight to the core so I would have to go duramax if I was gonna. I do have a lot of respect for the Cummins also. Amazing engine .. powerstorke..... ehh. Hahaha. Just busting
Sounds like you have a sick truck
Diesels have always tempted me but I never could justify it. My 1500 5.3l pulls my approx 7000 lb trailer just fine for how much I tow
I do have an intake exhaust and tune also. Wanna swap gears to 3.73 soon. After I upped my tires things got a little sluggish. No where near 700hp though!! Haha
-
I can totally see the appeal of vans and can probably see myself being in your shoes one day as things expand. My truck is my work and personal vehicle so it's nice to have the truck for that.. the trailer really just hops from house to house for me which means it can sometimes be in the same place for months... it would be nice to have a van for material runs when the weather isn't great and also to just have a second set of essential tools in. That way I wouldn't have to drive to where my trailer is if I wanted to do a small job somewhere else.
All in due time I guess...
My dad is a painter and has always had savana/express vans. When he just bought his new van about a year and a half ago I really pushed him to consider a new style van but he was to stubborn!! He really didn't want anything smaller than a v8 which I found so weird because he never even tows anything.. he just doesn't understand what these new vehicles are capable of I guess. Old dog!!

I'm still waiting on the fuel gauge 5ah and now they announce a 6ah. Seems my wait will be longer
Now the good thing is the fuel gauge 5ah will come dowe in price!
-
Korno, I think you made a post about makita 6ah batteries but when I try to open it it takes me to the TIA homepage.. not sure if there is something messed up with the post or if it's only me having problems.

Is there anyway to still see that video or is is gone. I'm not up on this periscope stuff..
-
I agree. What's up with that blurry background! The saw looked nice though.. sounded good, seemed plenty touquie and had a nice blade brake... I would love to see a full review of the saw by itself..
Thanks for posting the video bee-man

Yeah. It's a hassle customers shouldn't have to deal with though. Oh well.

For real John very glad you are ok. If you where in a wheel chair I would be more then happy to push you around and pile all of the free shit you get at the show up on your chair it would just make it easier for me. I'm looking forward to hanging out and having a few with you and your partner in crime.
Awww. Thanks man, seriously I really do appreciate it!! Yeah, just think of how much swag you could load on my wheelchair! You have a good idea there

Wow Carroll. That cuts dude. That really cuts
Don't worry Chris! I got love for you bro.... just don't flake on us this year.
-
Wow, that sucks. That's why I quit riding bikes. People just don't see you. Hope you get better.
Thanks man. Feeling better every day.. doc just ordered an MRI of my elbow today though because that's the only thing that really isn't improving.. it's got some messed up internal joint issue..
-
Thank god you are ok and now lets make this about me. Who was I going to hang out with at the Festool connect next year if it would have been worst that ChrisK guy. All joking aside I have been in a few bike accidents and they are not fun but I still ride not as much as i use to but I still get out. Looking forward to hanging out again and I hope that Chris can make it. Take care of your yourself and have you gave it any thought to who you would leave you tools to if you deiced to take the bake out for a spin.
I sensed some genuine caring mixed into all the joke's so thank you for that! I appreciate the love man.. your right, bike accidents are no fun.. cars hurt! I personally would love to ride again but I know my wife will never get back on and rides with her was a large part of why I had the bike.. you think a lot about life priorities when you walk away from something like that.. bike isn't on the top of that list for me at this point.... old hot rod, dirtbike, jet ski, snowmobile.. those are all still very high on the list!! Haha. I still gotta have fun right?!?!
You know I wouldn't leave you hanging at JLC!! I could have been a full cripple and as long as I could still drink and you would be willing to wheel me from bar to bar I would be in!! Hahaha
We aren't letting chrisK back out!! No way.. he said he was coming and he will even if I have go drag his ass there.. you hear that chris!!
You know I never put much about the long term security of my tools in the event of my passing... wow I can't believe I let that one slip.. I'll make sure to add you to my will.. my attorneys will be in touch

before the power storm of batteries we didn't have this problem.......
I know right. Buying tools used to be simple. Just pick the best one, plug it in and use it..
Haha.
-
You might want to give the property manager a heads up of what you know now and that you wanto the entire staircase replaced and built the correct way instead of him trying to pass off another hack patch job on you..

Nice buy Paul. IL still using a pickup and a enclosed trailer.. a carpenter friend of mine email and also my electrician both bought similar vans this year (promoter and the nissan nv2500) they both are coming from pickups and rave about them....
I don't think it's for me. Maybe as a second work vehicle or if I have a second crew running one day, give it to that crews foreman. For now though I usually can just leave my enclosed trailer right on site for the duration of the job and then drive my truck back and forth.. that way too, if I'm not on site all the tools are still there and guys can be getting work done without me..
Dewalt xr 1/2 impact wrench... Or The fuel 1/2 in wrench?

I wouldnt be so sure of that.. they seem to have missed the mark on their fuel 2 impact and drill when compared real world to the stuff makita has had out for 6 months to a year already...
