  1. well looky here, the hook and loop part of my Milwaukee orbital sander has worn down (about 4yrs old) to the point it just doesn't hold the sanding pads any longer. I realize I can order a new pad for around $20 but I'm cheap.........lol so for $1 worth of velcro a shot of 3M 77 adhesive and a razor blade we are back in business....
  2. it is great that you are conscious of the options economically but trust me when I say if you eventually get the tool bug full blown, you will not be able to control all the purchases. You have a Milwaukee set, keep them and if you want to get into ryobi just buy them minus the milwaukee tools you have already. as for all the specs and features don't worry about them if your buying DIY level tools.
  3. a little bit more masonry work with some rocks to finish off the light house....
  4. no it is a steel box with clear on it to make it look like steel..and not paint on the lid.....lol and yes it was a small boat trailer with a 1500LB axle......
  5. didn't buy anything worth showing this trip out to HD, however can someone spot the problem....or shall I say deal......
  6. made a small strap and tarp box up front. broke all the edges by hand so lid would have a lip all the way around. pretty tricky with all the different angles, polished and clear coated it to leave it look like steel....covered the hinge area with rubber to keep it dry...
  7. I only have 1 9.0ah battery, aside from a few 4.0ah and 5.0ah however I use the 9.0ah with all my M18 tools and each and every time it has not disappointed side note: when I'm using the 9.0ah battery with my fuel grinder it may as well be plugged in I don't even think about power it just grinds away.....
  8. Improper way to use a bandsaw, video is not gory but shows just how fast things can go wrong...skip past the guitar playing to see disaster @1.30minutes
  9. Not really wood working per say but built a utility trailer, plank floor, and wood sides....built in the LED lights to add strength in pillars 6ft x 9ft deck 16" sides....trailer tilts for easier unloading.....has lift off tail gate not in pics
  10. great video guys... only milwaukee level I have is this one and all I can say is if you place it on metal you have to almost break it lose because of the magnets....
  11. lol I just picked up some persians the other day as for the hoito it has become extremely expensive haven't gone there for quite some time.....next time your in town we can do lunch at kangas instead....

  14. thought conductor would like to do this to one of his wiltons....
  15. so I'm motoring thru Home Depot today, minding my own business and came across a deal for some kind of promo free battery crap.......the usual buy a tool get a free battery...well I see they don't have the battery that was free so my thrift mode kicks in ...I say umm ya do you have a free battery if I buy a tool?, knowing they don't the guy says I'll get my manager.....so he comes over and says ya we don't have a battery but go pick a tool of your choice and I will reduce the price by $100 sound ok?.....lol so for $69 I picked this puppy up......
  16. all it takes is one tooth to break off and jam, now you have a hard piece of steel running along other hard steel. The aluminum may have just acted as a guide on either side of the blade . aluminum is soft, and binds together when cut, it is imperative to use some kind of cutting fluid
  17. funny she said I wouldn't have a pot to piss if it wasn't for her the way I spend money, I said if wasn't for her I wouldn't piss in a pot cause it would be full of money...... she laughed I laughed......then we went to buy new pots and pans......
  18. business is business folks, social media is stronger than ever before, I used to communicate with a penpal that took 2 months to say hi.......now people are communicating like they are all in the same room....pretty tough to keep secrets now a days.....with ichat, twitter, facebook, mepic, youtube, you name it......
  19. so telling her that all the pots and pans came with one hole in them to let me know when there are more than one hole in them.......is not going to fly.....or well maybe the pots and pans might!....
  20. while we are on the topic of husbands and wives and tools, are pots and pans tools? I'm no cook nor do I try to be or want to try but wife says since I'm buying all kinds of new tools she wants new tools too.....as in pots and pans....what do I do? I can't kick her out I will starve.....
  21. If I order it and have free shipping to border, $299USD = $410.23CAD plus I pay 13% tax on the $410.23 = $463.55CAD + approx. 1.5 hr round trip to go pick it up...
  22. I'll say that is a good deal.... in Canada just the 9.0Ah battery is $281.00 with tax..and I mean just battery not even the charger....
  23. home depot in the USA has that deal............Canada doesn't even carry the trimmer yet..lol
  24. may not be completely related, but I can understand the importance to some of these conditions. I worked on many different projects that were in very early design stages and procedures were very closely guarded. I have signed many different confidentiality agreements over my career while working or building some things. on a personal level, I too don't like people seeing some of my projects before they are complete, not because of any legal issues but because some people just don't have the ability to see the final item when it is in nine parts on a bench.
