Seconden what nere said. Bosch carbide are easily the best

Well as my representative has told me: ( Beware because this comes form a makita representative )
Bosch and Dewalt use a mechanical system. A flywheel thats brought up to speed and then strikes the pin to hammer the nail in. Supposedly these are quite prone to mechanical wear if used alot. It is true that the Bosch 18V nailer was recalled in belgium. And the Dewalt nailer.. some people love it. others hate it.
The Makita representative said that they basically have a small compressor build into the tool and the motor only drivs a piston to build up pressure. So very much more in line with normal air nailers and it should be better durable then the mechanical flywheel system.
-
Yeah but for example Bosch had the 16ga battery finisch nailer. Although it is as heavy it is beter balanced. But that tool had/has its mexganical problems because of the flywheel mechanism
-
If they can cut the cord off their sawzall they have now it'll be a winner.
Doubt that will be possible. Their AVT Recipro is 1500 watts. ( is that 14 amps in american terms? ) So far there aren't any 18V tools on the market that can deliver thesame power as a 1500 watt (14 amps ? ) corded tool.
-
Works good but is bulky. It does have a very small 'clearance' on the top so you're able to schoot nailes very close to the ceiling / floor ( when held upside down ).
Because the Compressor piston is not on the top like most nailers but next to the magazin the tool is not the best balanced.
So it does what it has to do very good but it's bulky and not the best balanced tool.

Orbital and AVT system from Makita i want in one

Wobble in the Chuck had been a known probleem in soms, not all, fuel drills. Will always be replaced by warranty of course.
Could it have been an overload/over heating protection that switched on ? Makita tools require you to take out the battery and put it back in if you trigger the overload protectionisme a few times in a row.
If thats not the case then most likely faulty Electronics Package and milwaukees warranty will take care of that.

Thats inline with the highest torque of that tool then.
Cant wait to get it in my hands now for a BL recipro and werd all set
-
If stick with Makita easily

Does every impact wrench have a higher reverse torque then forward? Is this something inherent in the design of impact wrenches? Anyone wanna test that one?
-
Coming soon.

Thank for the articles on wikipedia and Ingersoll Rand.
Pretty much a marketing Term then?
-
I second that !
-
Wel now that the new 1050 newton impact wrench has Been sighted....
All we neef now is a decent brushless reciprocating saw and i declare Makita as best 18v lineup hahahahaha
-
And thank you andrull for posting the pixs. I suck with the internet/forum linking things.
The direct link does work for me tho.

Can anyone explain me what nut busting torque is ? I frequently hear this term uses in english video's/ reviews/ forums or in specificcations on the American Milwaukee website for example.
But in belgium i have never ever heard that term being user. All manufacturers just talk about their tightening torque over here.
Really confused about what that nutbusting thing is

Here it is guys !

New Makita +1000 Newton impact wrench. Looking good !
-
Thats good for you DarynH.
-
And as long as we can all agree Makita cordless recip sucks !
Which is funny because their corded one can give a sawzall a run for its money

Warranty is not about 'having faith in your tool' .
Lets be realistic here. Shouting around your 5 year warranty is a marketing concept first and foremost.
The Margins are big enough for compagnies to pay up whatever few problems arise on those tools that actually need warranty.
Marketing is the best thing Milwaukee has.( not that they dont have good tools. They have a few excellent ones in fact ) Creating hype is milwaukees game
-
It is a bit strange because overload protection would kick in when the motor speed goes down quickly --W amperage draw goes up. But since the chuck isnt conntected to the motor directly in an impact driver it should just keep on rattling and spinning at full speed if you encounter something that won't budge.
-
I think they are comparing Makita 18v BL saw to the fuel. Those are quite similar.
The Makita 18+18v is in another class of power and runtime as many reviewers have already proven in comparison video's

Glas you're ok !
The new Hilti 5.2 AH battery.

And overpulling kills tour batteries so be glad Milwaukee, and all others, have build in this protection so you dont Fry your batteries by putting a compact on your recipe saw
