Karl, I had to drill up though a 2X4 cat and the double 2X4 top plates to snake the wires up to my attic space, the drill through the ceiling joists and back down through the stud cavities.. I didn't have to drill/snake through the bedroom stud wall... Worked out nice,

These cordless circular saws are the Shanizzle, I have the 36v Makita and find it to be my go to saw....

As much as a fan I am of Makits 18 volt line up, I'm sticking with Milwaukee for my 12V needs
