I have one of those 90 deg attachments.
its great for driving the odd screw in a tight space.
but it is a nightmare if you need to hold the drill, attachment and screw and also what you are screwing up.
a dedicated drill is a one hand tool

I run the 50mm short festool boom arm hose into a y on the dc port on my dw745 . then a hose up to the guard
I only run both if it is a finished house.
the dw745 is very good at throwing the dust out the port . if im on a site or in a shed where dust isn't a problem I run the saw with no dust collector but use the 50mm pipe into a bucket. I forgot to turn on the dc one time and filled the pipe up

I haven't use any other wet saw o cant comment that way
the ease at which it cuts.
no chips on the top surface.
no dust so you can set it up inside
all the dirt is contained in the trays

sds is a hammer drill that takes better bits. way better at drilling concrete.#
a portaband is a small band saw. great tool for unistrut and threaded bar. I have seen people cutting spiral ducting with it as well

i think the first job is work out what tools you will need or want down the line.
you will want an impact for screws,
drill for drilling
mini grinder
sds drill
a portaband would be hand for unistrut etc
I think an impact wrench would be handy for bolts and large wall fixings

i would assume that each type is an improvement on the previous type. they probably fixed small issues inside

great news.
I plan to buy into the Makita line up later in the year. this was one of the major draw backs of the Makita system.

they look like they go in to easy. I think they would grip better if the drill was smaller

I can understand everyone being annoyed at the noise at that hour of the morning. it would annoy me.
but surely a warning would be enough for the first offence.
if they did that to me I would be there at 7 01 am and make loads of noise doing it.

I have the 718 and the 780. the 780 is a way better saw.
no problems at all with it.
the dust collection is very good.
xps system is brilliant .I wouldn't buy a saw with out it. there is no way for it to be off . lasers are terrible compared to the xps. exept outside on really sunny days. luckily in Ireland we don't get many
