  1. well, damn, i guess its back out to the garage for goat.
  2. yep, used some of that Behr semi transparent waterproof stain, the star is latex paint, i used Cabots Australian Timber Oil on the rest of the cooler, just have a decentish life outdoors. I built one for a buddy and he bought a bbq grill cover to throw over it and help keep it safe too. Said it will keep beer cold at least 2 days. pretty much followed Jay Bates design. its a great vid on youtube if yall want to check it out.
  3. forklift, gonna need something to help offload the giant planer, jointer, and lathes i would wish to purchase.
  4. im invested in the Dewalt platform and will most likely go with it once I can afford to, but the extra bit of cut capacity that the metabo offers will force me to take a hard look at it. Both will cut wider than my broken handled 10" non sliding mitersaw that i have now.
  5. Thanks for the kind words fellas. I try, have a lot to learn and always willing to mess up in the process. Goat
  6. Thanks, my sister in law picked it out/chose the colors, etc.. Made this for our bathroom
  7. Im a novice woodworker, mostly getting stuff from Ana White/Jay Bates and other youtube video wood workers, just thought i would show off a couple of the things ive done.
  8. i always wondered if Dewalts 40v packs would make its way over from OPE... This would be a great task for one
  9. you could always sell you stihl to buy whichever one you like ::ducks:: lol
  10. for me it would be worth it to end up with another battery, again as most tools these days its starting to come down to whos battery system you are on.
  11. Just read this in an email i got, cant remember where it came from. I have the 40V String trimmer and love it, but couldnt really justify the cost for the hedge trimmer for how often i would use it, now a 20v hedge trimmer with a 5.0ah battery....that i can get behind. Cant really find much info on it yet. -Goat
  12. Sears for sure, I had some I bought off a matco truck 10 yrs ago, loved those things. Too bad I lost them in one of the moves along with some other stuff.
  13. My Home Depot had like 6 of them stacked up where they normally have the tool boxes and stuff
  14. I always shoot them an offer, got some wrenches pretty cheap this way. If they've had them a while, they'll deal.
  15. I've had the trimmer for a little over a month and have used the piss out of it. I got it at Lowes, so it's the 4ah. The rain we've been getting here in Tx has kept me busy, due to laziness and work getting in the way the back yard has been getting out of hand and the trimmer cuts through some serious weeds even with the .80 line. I'm still waiting on my extra battery. I'm confident that I can get through my back yard on one charge under normal use and usually even the front, but with all the rain I need a charge for the front and another on the back. I seriously love it and will be getting the blower soon. Only tools I could imagine are maybe a bigger miter saw or SDS.
  16. This would be slick to take up to the yard to replace boards on my big gooseneck instead of dragging it in my neighborhood and up my single wide drive.
