So what's happening with yours? Are they being shipped yet?So there's finally a review up for this saw on HD, here it is:
"just got the saw in today . the saw is Great, but can not belive it only comes with one 3ah battery not too happy about that at all . you would think Dewalt would put a 4Ah or 5ah battery in it
Pros: Accurate
Cons: only one battery"
I pointed out on this forum that the model number associated with the battery was 3ah, but someone here said that it wasn't shipping with the 3ah but the 4ah and it was a misprint.
Seems I might have been right after all. Boo.

How I this saw for those that have used it. I'm thinking of purchasing it with the stand with the wheels on it. I have had my hands on one in store and love how easy it glides compared to the dewalt which I find glides terribly.

Thanks lads, seems the Dewalt bits may be better than I imagined.

I've been thinking about getting a step bit for a while now, any recommendations on a good quality one?How about some step bits? They come in handy.

So I purchased my combi drill and impact a couple months back but still need to fill up the accessory compartments in the carry case, so far I've picked up a Weisser pivoting bit holder, a wera set of bits that contains all the normal bits, pozi philips, slot, hex etc. I've also got the trend flip and drill and hinge centering bits. So what does everyone else keep, I'm hoping to purchase a few more bit sets myself, hss bit, wood up to 10mm, a right angle Attachment etc. Any brands you's would recommend?

Does anyone know what to expect from this? I'm hoping to purchase some new tools if the price is right, but I've already been to a tool show this year with all the major brands there and ended up buying nothing because I could get them cheaper elsewhere. It was still a good experience seen and being able to handle the tools.

Could anyone tell me the profile of the bar that locks into the back of the tough boxes as I want to use it in my van racking or would a normal L shape 90 degree work

This is the model number for the 48 inch Stanley STA043648, am I allowed post links to other websites on here. Unfortunately I don't know how to post pics

What's people think of these levels, there currently on offer here in Ireland for the 72" 48" and 24" in a carrier bag. I was thinking of purchasing them but would like some feedback from people who have used them.
-
I wish Ireland had something like Home Depot, you's get some great deals over there in the U.S. I've to buy all my tools online from the UK or pay over the top prices here at home. Never a great selection either, hard to find bare tools also

maybe I missed a post
when is the approx. release date in USA ?
please try to narrow it down to a Month;
thx
mike
I think this year is the closest we have come to hearing a release date so far, I could also have missed something

My Dewalt main stockist in the UK told me that release date over here would be the end of the year

I'm not entirely sure where there made nowadays, I know both my sets are over 5 years old and both have the word Sheffield on them but can't remember if it just says Sheffield steel or made in Sheffield. I'll double check that tomorrowFirst off welcome to the forum Turner! Are the Marples made in the UK still or are they outsourced to China now?
-
Marples are they the go to chisel here in Ireland, I've been using them for the past 14 years for finish work. I've always one other chisel for rough work, currently the Stanley foldable one.

Just watched the video, looks great. Was hoping we'd hear a rough release date.
-
Thanks again, I'll be sure to look over the links and I'll take some photos of progress. I've to finish plying it out first which I should get done early this week if time allows.
-
Thanks for the welcome lads, although I'm 14 years in construction I'm only really starting to take it serious. I've owned a lot of tools over the years but never done any research till this year and would always just buy a mixture of brands and generally it would be makita as it was what my local suppliers always stocked. Well now I've made the change to dewalt I'm slowly selling off my old tools and investing in newer up to date tools. I've also just bought myself a new van, 2009 ford transit and am hoping to build myself some racking to integrate my toughsystem boxes, so I will make sure to let everyone know how that goes.

Is the June release for the mitre saw US only or will we see this in Europe at the same time does anybody know?
-
Just joined the forum after stalking it for the past couple of weeks. Recently bought into dewalt just by chance when I was in a hurry for a new set of drills. 2 months later I've got there toughsystem with trolley, the dcn692 nailer and dcs355 multi. Next on the wishlist is the dch274 as I am looking to purchase all the brushless gear first in the hope they re-release some of there brushed stuff in brushless versions. Also hyped for some of the new tools I'm hearing about this week.

I'm in the market for a new saw, being on youtube checking out all the top brands latest models. How is the slide on this for those who have used it? Dust collection isn't a huge issue for me as I would only being it outdoors.
