  1. All fixed. .. it put up a bit of a fight but eventually sucked enough solder in Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  2. I'm using map gas. House was built in the 60's not sure what the solder standard was then? I work for a college so it's mainly service. I haven't had a job in the "real world" yet lol so sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  3. I do enjoy learning new things and being new in the hvac field any work like this certainly helps me learn. But truthfully I'm just to much of a cheapo to pay someone to do the work for me hahaSent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah man, learning as I go lol there are a lot of firsts. Unfortunately if I'm working for myself I tend to work slow but It's getting there. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the tip I will definitely try that on the next one. I did unswet the pipe on the top of the T but it is the connection at the bottom of the T that is leaking. Any tips for fixing a leaking joint without disassembling it. I get the feeling it's going to be tricky to get an old solder joint to accept more solderSent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  6. Hey guys, figured I would post some pics of the plumbing I did for my bathroom reno. I did learn soldering in school but this is my first real world work. Twelve fittings, the only leak I had was on an existing T which for whatever reason heating it to make a connection at the top caused the bottom connection to leak. There are several boogers due to the tight space I was working in but I am happy for my first time. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  7. Traffic flows surprisingly well lol, if there were a light there I bet traffic would be backed up pretty far. That being said they probably have a dozen accidents there a day Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  8. I will admit I can be "That guy" if someone is going below the speed limit I will definitely tailgate, Not to the point where it is unsafe but yeah the slower they are going the closer I get. Typically I back off after a bit though, I only stay there long enough to make my point lol. The thing that annoys me the most if we are talking about highway driving is how people do not move out of the passing lane. I'm not sure if it is the same throughout the country but here in mass almost no one understands that the left lane is for passing and they should move over if someone is behind them Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  9. I completely agree. With Netflix, Amazon, and hulu I hardly ever turn my cable box on. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  10. Some may say going to HD multiple times a week isn't worth the deal. . But let's be honest, who here doesn't enjoy wandering around Home depot aimlessly? With or without finding good deals. I haven't seen any of these penny deals, I would be really interested in learning how to find them using hd computers. I am looking forward to that writeup. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  11. Looks good, congrats on the new found space! Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  12. I have heard if you put a few pieces of chalk in your drawers/box it will help prevent rusting. I haven't tried it myself but is seems like it would work Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  13. I can't say i like the homeowners choice to have a path of hardwood but I have to say you did an awesome job that floor looks amazing! My vote is always hardwood throughout. Carpet is dirty, I don't like carpet lol. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  14. Gotta love pro press! I occasionally get the chance to play with it at my work and it is amazing lol. Idk what's easier that or pex Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  15. Tons of air movement, apparently there was no need for vapor barrier behind a tub in the 60'sSent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
