  1. Does anyone have an opinion on Makitas radio? I heard it on a job site a while back and it seemed to kick pretty good. Although this was over a year ago and the room had decent acoustics so my memory of its sound could be a bit foggy. .. opinions?

  2. thats how I ended up with m12 hoodies; they go great under a Carharrt selvedge jacket, and I refuse to not wear a jacket I blew $300 on for work.

Yeah I had the same problem, I didn't want to wear the thing anywhere fearing I might ruin it

  3. Yeah that's why i was thinking of a thick thermal shirt that is meant to be tight and worn with layers. I suppose my main issue is that I don't like to wear thick jackets in the winter and tend to go with a hoodie even if it is zero outside lol

  4. Hey guys, I bought a heated hoodie last year and to be honest I wasn't really impressed. It does get warm but it can hardly be felt because it really isn't tight to the skin. When sitting down with my back against a seat it works so much better. So I got this idea, I do think a heated thermal shirt could work really good. If the heat is right against you it will actually warm the body up.

Just an idea I wanted to share.

  5. up here in Canada we have a product called "duraceramic" or "alturna" its a thin tile that can be cut with a utility knife, you spread glue down, let it get tacky (almost clear) and then start laying the floor from the doorway inward. plan out the way you want them laid before you spread the glue. you can lay them with or without a gap so you either grout it after or you have no grout lines. I do a lot of bathrooms and kitchens and this stuff is by far the fastest and easiest. hope this helps and good luck!

Looks like a really good option, I will have to check out pricing. Thanks

  6. Hey guys, I'm pretty new here and not sure if this topic is properly placed but I am looking for advice on flooring in the kitchen and bath of the house I recently purchased.

You should know that the house is a two family and I am currently working on the part of the house that will be rented. Time as well as budget is a big factor as I am currently paying all of my bills out of pocket without rental income.

I am looking for a product that will be budget friendly and preferably easy to install. There is currently vinyl flooring on top of 3/4" plywood making it about level with the hardwood in the house. I am trying to avoid tile because i plan to keep the cabinets in place for now to save time, and don't really want the tile higher than the wood flooring.

The finish I am looking for is preferably a stone tile type finish and it should be pretty durable, as it is going to be a rental. I am considering sheet vinyl but am not sure how long it will last.

Any experience you guys have with flooring products would be really helpful!

  7. Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a T.I.A subscriber for a while now and have just recently become more active in the community, YouTube comments, Facebook, and now forums! I figured it is as good a time as any to let you guys know who i am.

My name is brad ( obviously ) I live in Massachusetts, I am 22 years old, and work at a local college as a journeyman HVAC/R technician.

I recently purchased a two family house which I am currently renovating and updating in order to modernize the old and untouched 60's look. Perfect excuse to buy more tools! Not that I need an excuse...

Speaking of tools, it is nearly impossible for me to go inside Homedepot or Lowes without walking out with at least one tool in addition to whatever I actually went in to buy. They say money can't buy happiness, but it can definitely buys tools! Am I right guys?

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. Thank you guys for reading and I'm looking forward to joining in on all the fun here!
