  1. Hi I am a intermediate Woodworker. I have my own website. I am capable of building a lot of projects, mostly furniture. I want to display different types of furniture pieces I can build, but I can't build everything I want to showcase. How can I show I can build all these different furniture projects, without actually building the project? I would appreciate any advice.

  2. I am a intermediate woodworker. I looking to get my first truck. I have borrowed my neighbors truck in the past, but realize I need to get a truck. I mostly build furniture and basic cabinetry. I am trying to debate weather I should get a 4 cylinder or V6 truck. I want a access cab, and 4x2. I am looking at tacoma's, around 2009. Please help me decide.. Is a V6 necessary? Gas mileage is somewhat of a concern.

  3. I am in Northern California. I am a local small woodworking business focused on cabinets, some furniture, and other smaller projects. I have a small shop.

What exactly do you do? Shop built or site built? Cabentry, general carpentry, misc projects? Want kind of feel are you going for? High end, big sounding business, local small business??

Fill in any other helpful info you can think of

I'm not saying I'll be able to come up with the best name for you out of this info but it might also help start others in the right direction..

By wine country do you mean Cali?

  4. Hi Everyone, I am looking to change my woodworking business name. My current business name is: Taylor's Work Shop. I want something, not very long, but have the name recognize what I do. Any suggestions for names? I appreciate any advice. Thank You.

  5. I am trying to figure out the name of this unique hand carving tool. It is wide, looks kinda like a giant "C" shape. You would use it in a pulling motion to carve wood and round corners. What is the name of this tool?

  6. I had had this same question a while ago. I decided to get the Ridgid 10" Table Saw 4512. It fit my needs better, since I couldn't use a track saw for everything and I decided, I could build my own track saw at a fraction of the cost if I really wanted one. I love the R4512. I have no regrets, and it has the Lifetime Warranty. Hope my suggestion helps.

  7. My cousin just picked up a ridgid vac from HD with a detail kit that one of our crew members posted mayby last week for $79 which is a sweet deal considering the detail kit alone cost about $40-50 I would check the deal thread to see if it's still active

I bought this bad boy tonight! Love it only $99 14 gal Ridgid w/ detachable blower and extra accessories.

  8. Hi, I have a small wood working shop. I currently have a older craftsman 2.5HP Shop Vac, but am looking into a shop vac with better suction and precisely for my needs with out spending a lot of money. I would like a shop vac that is on the quieter side, that is still powerful enough at least 5HP to connect to various tools, with a 2.5 inch dia. hose. I would also like it somewhat compact to be able to take into peoples houses if need be. I also would like a blower function. Please help me with a decision. I don't know what I should do. Thank You.

  9. I currently have a 18 gauge Senco Nail Gun, and Husky 3 gal compressor. I am looking in getting a new nail gun, preferably battery operated. I am looking at the new Ridgid Hyperdrive Brushless 18 and 16 gauge nail guns. I build furniture and cabinetry. What nail gun should, I get next? Should I stick to an 18 gauge or get a battery 16 or 18 gauge nailer? Or does someone have another suggestion of nail gun gauge size I should get. Please help me out. Thank You.
