  1. Man these Milwaukee 12v tool deals are killing me. I have zero M12 tools but this deal, along with the Fuel Roto Hammer for $199.99, would be a great way to get into the 12v game.

If I picked this up, I'm guessing I wouldn't reach for my 18v Fuel tools very much... so it would seem like a waste unfortunately.

  2. I've always used what I would call the "traditional" style grip jigsaws for no other reason than that is all I have ever known, but I really want to try out one of the barrel grips.

When that powerbox comes in I think I am gonna dry when I see your pics!

That sucker came in on Thursday! I posted a pic of it in the Lowe's Deals thread but not here.

  3. So after using these tools for the last couple of days I can tell you guys they're great!

The Porter Cable is well balanced and the perfect weight to let it do its thing. Tracking belts is simple and they stay where they're supposed to. It's also pretty simple to replace the drive belt should I have to in the future so I'm thinking this is the last belt sander I will ever need to buy!

The Bosch jig saw is amazing. Easily the most comfortable jig saw I've ever used. It's basically an extension of your arm, making it super easy to maneuver. The LEDs light up the line nicely but i think I would rather them turn on with the tool instead of having a separate button. I also wish the variable speed dial was located below the power switch instead of at the back of tool. This will probably be the last jig saw I will need to buy! Unless of course Milwaukee comes out with a Fuel jig saw, which I will definitely be picking up!

I recommend both of these tools!

  4. I have one and love it. Like the poster above stated, I hated dishing out $100 at first, but can't be without it now. I find myself on lots of jobs with little to no light these days, and this thing does the trick. It will light up small to medium sized rooms pretty easily by putting it on the floor or counter top pointed at the ceiling. In bigger rooms you just have to point it at your work area. If this thing was $50 or so I would have 4+! Instead I have just one but am looking to get another!

  5. I just checked my order status and it said cancelled. Not sure what is going on. I was afraid it was too good to be true!

Your post made me curious so I checked my order status and I realized they shipped and charged me for 1 radio. I just called and they said that's all they had left.

So at least I get one! Should be here some time this evening.

  6. So I finally found this saw at my home depot today. I've gotten to know the guys in the tool section pretty well so we were talking about it and he told me when I decided which miter saw I wanted to buy that I should ask if they could take any off the price. He said they had plenty of room that they were allowed to come down on tools like that. I have heard other people say that before but I had never had an employee tell me that. I'm not sure how much it is but I am going to try it.

Let us know how that works out for you!

  7. I've got a Nitecore P12 on its lanyard hanging by the front door that we take while walking the dog at night. All of the other flashlights scattered throughout the house are of the Costco variety.

  8. Very cool stuff! Did they give you creative freedom on the first one or did you have to follow a pattern.. either way it came out awesome

They had the whole room laid out for me on the print as to which colors went where on that job. I like it better that way versus them giving us a print with a note saying 25% of this color, 25% of this color & 50% of this color. Then we have to go through and make stacks of tile with the correct ratio and lay it. What seems to happen a lot after that is the customer walks in and says,"Ohhhh I don't like that color there, can you move it over here? Oh you have two of the same colors touching right here, can you move one?"

That gets old quick :P I prefer the customer to sit down with the salesman beforehand and draw it out on the print or graph paper as to how they want it laid.

  9. I tried to order 4 but it said only 2 were available at this location. And all the other locations I looked up still had them at the $129.99 price tag.

I have the $120 Milwaukee radio that doesn't charge batteries so when I recieve these I'll compare and decided which I'll keep. I don't have any Bosch batteries so unless I decide to grab one or two, the Milwaukee has a big leg up. If the Powerbox is heads and shoulders better than the Milwaukee I may also end up grabbing the 18v starter kit with LBoxx2 for $120

  10. We generally use Mr.davids flooring. We are doing more work in the Milwaukee area lately, I will have to keep your name in mind.

Please do. I personally don't do too much work out in Milwaukee, unless they really need the help, but we do have some great installers out there!
