  1. I'm a masonry contractor and I would go with the 18v fuel line. The impact I use is the m12 Fuel, and its the only 12v I use for my job (I have another 12v drill for around the house). The 12v fuel impact is great, lightweight, and powerful enough for anything that I've asked it to do. However, looking back at all the individual tools I bought, I shake my head and wonder why I didn't just buy the 6 piece 18v fuel set. The speed at which the 18v tools are expanding is amazing, and once you have 4 or 5 batteries you can get the bare tools, which will save a little money. If you haven't bought anything yet check out cpo milwaukee. If I buy tools online, that where I go. There's usually quite a few "buy this and get this free" deals there, and you can grow your tool chest nicely. Hope this helps.

  2. I've heard many opinions on this subject so I though I'd ask here. One of my contractors refuses to go to lowes or HD because, in his opinion, "tool companies use inferior products to sell at lowes or HD to make them cheaper in order to make more money." Apparently they even have different product numbers that proves this theory. I've heard the opposite as well. I've bought many tools at these stores and they have the same warranty and they work the same, but I'm just curious.  Is there any truth to this?

  3. I'm not certain what to think about Dewalt's new offerings. I guess I was expecting something more amazing. Definitely not enough to turn my back on Milwaukee. Oh, and your little Milwaukee vs. Dewalt meme is kinda lame. The Milwaukee guy looks like a hard, 50 hour-a-week working, while the Dewalt guy looks like he'll stop what he's doing to moisturize.

  4. The odds of two sets of one key tools not working are pretty unlikely. Have you tried un-installing and re-installing? If you just needed a new drill set and bought the one key for the added coolness won't the retail store take it back and you can buy a non one key product? I have no idea how you talked to the Milwaukee rep but I hope the word "piss poor" and "milwauchink" didn't come out of your mouth because I probably would have hung up. politeness goes a long way.

I didn't mean to start anything. I just saw this and thought I'd post it here for confirmation. I apologize. Please take this thread down.

I wonder if he got some false information tool companies are not cool with new product information being outed like that. Although I think he's on the outs with Milwaukee after his nailer review. Technically we are not supposed to talk about RTR cause of the shit he started with TIA, but this isn't a true promotion and it is interesting.

Whoops. I hope a Milwaukee agent doesn't come knocking on my door because of this post.

  7. Hey they said any subject would work in Pub Talk. Well, I just got home from the most exciting race that I've ever seen. The only way it would have been more exciting was if I was driving the car.  I love dirt track racing and I was wondering how many other fans are out there? What type of racing do you like?

  8. Hi guys. My old lunchbox finally died the other day and it was about time. I'm looking for a good solid box that's semi-sealed. I'm a masonry contractor and things can get very dusty. Price isn't a huge issue, because I prefer quality. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  9. I've never used a rotary hammer drill. Is that significantly better than a normal hammer drill? I usually use my hammer drill for short tapcons to screw metal lathe to concrete to lay stone veneer. Would a 12v rotary be enough?

  10. Hi guys, right now I have the most powerful non-fuel m18 hammer drill. I think it's torque is around 725. The new fuel has 1200. I'm starting a large new job that will require a lot of tapcons into concrete. Will the extra 475 inches of  torque be an obvious improvement? I've never used one that powerful.
