  1. I just got an email from Milwaukee today. Home Depot is selling the One-Key hammer drill and impact with 2 5.0 batteries and a free Fuel hackzall or 7 1/4 circular saw. There are a few other options, but I think this is an excellent deal. I'm not sure if I'm special or if anyone can buy this.

  2. Hey, guys. I'm a mason by trade and I was laying some bricks the other day, and I ran into a little problem. I was laying up to a window and I was using my non-Fuel grinder to cut the half bricks that were to be laid next to the window. Now usually my grinder slices through pretty easily but these bricks were much harder than ones I usually deal with. Well the grinder kept cutting off and it was getting annoying. I could have used my Stihl chop saw, but that means crawling down the scaffold, yanking on the cord, and making a large cloud of dust. Its just easier to use my grinder to cut them when I'm up on scaffold. I saw that my local hardware store is having a $100 rebate on all Milwaukee Fuel kits. So, for all you guys that own the Fuel grinder, will this be a better/more powerful option? I don't want to buy it and learn that its just a little better than the non-Fuel version. Thanks for your time.

  3. Thanks for the replies. I'm not looking to warm up a room, just blow it on sand or blocks. I do a lot of stone veneer and I try to tarp myself in where I'm working. A few years ago I used a 125,000 btu heater. It was 14 degrees outside and under the tarp I was in a t-shirt and sweating. I don't want that again because going in and out under that tarp make me sick for a few days.

  4. Ok, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about this but here goes. I'm a mason and I live in central PA where things are about to get miserable for those who work outside. Sometimes in the winter I can tarp myself under something and use a heater and sometimes I need to hear up sand, water, blocks, etc. I saw that there is a cordless torpedo heater made by Mr Heater. Has anyone ever used this? Does it put out a lot of heat? Thanks in advance.

  5. I'm self employed, so I technically could take off whenever I want, but that never happens. I try to be at the job a little after 6 and I usually work till 430. Sometimes I deliver pizza in the evenings. That's an 18 hr day if I deliver. Way too long.

  6. Glad I purchased the Milwaukee products I wanted when I did. Before this Smart phone zombie crap was built in.I do not even own a smart phone and bought my Milwaukee products with the savings of just having a basic phone.Rather then the smart phone monthly bill.If I was a smart phone zombie I would have power tools from HF or Menards.

Are you comparing the one key system to smart

phones? Then I'm 2 years EVERYONE will have one key tools. Just cause you hate smart phones doesn't mean others can't find use for them. And they still make regular phone for people like you as will Milwaukee.

  7. I think it's an interesting idea. Let's wait for a year before we bash it. I used to say, "I don't need the Internet on my phone, Ill never use it, I have a laptop." Well here I am typing away on my phone with my laptop next to me. No one is saying any m12 or m18 tools are obsolete now. I have a non fuel m18 hammer drill and grinder with a m12 hammer drill. I will not be buying others until they die. They work for me. But it is interesting to see what I WILL be buying when they do die. And when I do need something hopefully all the bugs will be worked out and I can control my tools as I need them. One Key or not.

  8. I stopped by my local Milwaukee dealer and he has a deal for $100 off a fuel kit. It sounded like have to trade in ANY m18 tool with ANY two batteries for the discount. I may be buying the m18 fuel hammer drill and impact for $250. I'm not sure if this deal is all over the U.S. though.

  9. You know the more I think about this whole one key thing the more interested I get. I'm a masonry contractor so I don't think I'd get as much use out of it as some might. However someone mentioned that screwing metal roofing would be a good application of this. Also it may help drywall installers as well. it would be nice to control a quick or slow start for whatever you are doing. I don't believe I would ever really need to use it, but I've said that before.

  10. My friend was driving about 90 down the road and a cop passed him going the other direction. My friend slowed the car to a reasonable speed but the cop turned around and stopped him. The officer asked him if he knew how fast he was clocked at. My friend responded, " you mean before or after you saw me?" The cop laughed and let him go.

  11. M18 still outperforms the M12 Fuel. That said, with a compact on the M18 and XC on the M12 the M12 would likely win on run time depending on how tough the job is, while still being lighter.

The 4.0 battery does put the run time, most likely better than, some of the m18 drills.

  12. I wish that formula worked that easily. If you look at the stats of the m12 fuel hammer drill and the cheapest m18 drill, the m18 wins out. If I remember correctly the m18 has 150 lbs torque more than the m12 fuel. I had the same question you did when I bought my tools. I came to the comclusion that I need to buy the line/tools that works for me. I need a m18 hammer drill but an m12 fuel impact works for me.
