  1. I love the 12v tools. The impact is great. I don't have the 12 v fuel hammer drill but I have a non fuel version. I drills into concrete ok, but you need an impact to screw the tapcons. Honestly I would invest in a cheaper 18v hammer drill.

  2. A tool loving bass player, I already know I like this guy! Welcome to the forum my man. There will be plenty of time to talk about tools, what bass gear are you running?!

I have a fender Affinity Jazz bass.

Do you know why the bassist could get through the door? It's because he couldn't find the key and never knew when to come in.

  3. I use my grinder with a diamond blade to cut stone veneer and brick. Sometime I use it to grind out joints to repair them. It's probably not the best idea to use a 5" blade on a 4.5" grinder but I saw someone talking about how they do it.

  4. Hey PeteW. Thanks for the guidance. Hope this works right. I have 2 M12 fuel circular saws (one of which I won at an HD drawing simply for buying a tape measure) 2 rotary tools, oscillating tool, fuel impact driver and hammer drill, pvc cutters, jigsaw, sawzall, the new vacuum, 2 lanterns, 2 radios, and a bluetooth speaker. Now, I'm just waiting for some more new stuff to come out!

Wow. Home Depot is giving away an m12 saw with every tape measure purchase? This is how rumors start.

  5. Its the yellow color that just catches your eye and draws you in.lol

They do look nice. I have nothing against dewalt but I've used Milwaukee ever since I started my business and once you turn 30 it's harder to change.

  6. hi. My name is Brian and I'm a masonry contractor. I needed a site where I can get Milwaukee tool fix and I think I've found it. When I'm not laying blocks and bricks, you can find me playing bass, fishing, watching dirt track races, and obeying my wife.

  7. I use Milwaukee. Mainly because I love the m12 line. There are a lot of times that I'll buy a tool because of the type of work and how much power I'll need. For me I need an m18 hammer drill but I only need an m12 impact. Although I was at lowes today eyeballing some dewalt tools, even though I'm not gonna buy them.

  8. In the winter I usually drink a porter, I like dark beers in the winter. In the summer I drink something like Sam Adams summer seasonal brew. In the summer I go for light and refreshing. In the winter it's dark and robust. IPA's are for people who stuff as much flavor into a bottle/can and don't care what that flavor tastes like.

  9. Yeah, the humidity in central PA is brutal. I decided to go to work at 530 this morn, come home early, and the noise police in the housing development be damned. I was home by two and went through 3 shirts throughout the day. It was so bad the wife even convinced me to go skinny dipping last night. Kinda fun.

  10. I have the non charging Milwaukee job site radio and I have a quick question. Does the radio need to be plugged in in order to charge my phone or can it charge off battery power? I tried to charge it using the battery but it didn't do anything. It may be my phone though.

  11. and here I thought the cord was just to charge it......quick yank and it goes in the handle like the hoover vacuum cleaners.....

I think comp56 hit on something accidentally that we haven't thought about yet . Maybe that cord is the pull start for a small engine that runs the drill. Instead of that inconvenient changing of the battery, we can now just carry gas jugs around.

  12. Im a mason by trade and I've been looking at the m12 heated jackets. I don't generally work when it's under 25 degrees and cloudy, so I'm always interested in how to stay warm and not feel like I'm wearing a parka. What would be great is if I could wear fewer layers with the heated jacket and not have my movement restricted as much as I normally do. Can anyone give me their honest opinions the jacket, sweatshirt or whatever they own? Thanks.
