  1. Have never used the Bosch although they look well built and all but the Hitachi nailers may be worth checking into also if you haven't pulled the trigger yet, they are pretty nice guns priced right too.....I use a framing, angled finish and straight finish with absolutely no issues.
  2. Here are a few pictures of the living and dining room underway......Our home was built in the late 60's and my wife and I bought it in 1989, we did the typical paint and minor fixes through out the years but now that were both entering our later years and really have no plans on moving plus the house has been paid off several years we decided to completely reno every room. The living and dining room had such a bad texture job originally that we decided to re-texture.......so far in the living room I have completed the skim coat, texture, paint, LED can lights, fan, crown molding and swithes & recptecles. I re-did the stone work around the fireplace about 15 years back but were kicking around in re-doing that before the wood floors go down. The dining room was skim coated, textured, painted, crown molding and wood floors I comleted today. This coming week I'll get the base and casings completed and jump back to the living room. So far the dedicated listening room is complete, an area we call the pantry and laundry room......still have alot of work to do, were planning on re-doing three bathrooms, four bed rooms, hallways, kitchen, entery hall and family room. I hope I'm not in a wheel chair before I'm done LOL!!! (Living room) (Dining room) (Listening room)
  3. If I were doing most or all of my work in a shop then I would most likely just stick with air.....all my projects are through out my home and there are times when I need minimal nail time so the battery gun would be convinent. I have been thinking about one lately too.
  4. Will do....hopefully in a few weeks I'll be starting my door project.
  5. Thanks everyone for the feedback......I checked out the Mileaukee, Bosch and Dewalt today, the Dewalt seem to feel the best so that's what I went with. I'll be doiing a few doors soon and will post my findings.....
  6. That union is in a convinent place.....
  7. I have a few tile removal projects to do around the house, a few hundred sq.ft. kitchen floor, a bunch of tile counter tops to demo along with two showers......picked up the Dewalt D25330K chipping gun, this thing is cool, its light weight and easy to use. I have a 30lb Bosch demo hammer but its just way to much to be blowing tiles off the walls and floors. Anyone else use the Dewalt chipping gun.
  8. Great job on the stickers.....
  9. I have a corded, M12 & M18.....all three never fail the mission and with the cordless being so good today I seldom ever take the corded out of the box. Had a Makita cordless about 3 years back, didn't like that it blew through batteries, it got stolen so no lost sleep......Insurance bought me a Milwaukee.
  10. Comp56.....checked out the link, you did a great job there and is exactly what I'm looking for and the price is right thanks!!
  11. Just checked the price for the 12 gal model and thinking I don't need one that bad, ha ha
  12. While discussing orbital sanders in another post a few mentioned Dust Deputy, I've known about these but always just used my shop vac with a hepa filter with the dust minimal (mainly on small projects) but recently I've been doing larger projects. I've just completed re-doing the walls in two rooms....skim coat, sand and texture....the shop vac with hepa filter does fairly well in regards to dust but its a PITA cleaning the filter often and makes a big mess plus it just destroys the filters. Need something fairly portable as I will be dragging it from room to room. Thoughts??
  13. Thanks for the welcome.....so true spending
  14. Ridgid user here too, I have both cast and aluminum, rarely use the cast. The offsets and ends are great. The new Milwaukee have my attention also...
