So, next time jahova's witniss comes knocking at your door to harass you about their version of the lord, just tell them this.............
I DON'T DO CHICKEN F*****S
Then close the door, they will think twice about harassing you again numerious more times like they like to do.
Edited to ask, was this humoris enough?
The town next over to me as a jahovvas church, few times a summer they come out, I'll have to remember that!

. Chrisk! BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! It's sooooo true!!!![emoji48][emoji12][emoji12][emoji15][emoji15]. I'm a hardcore DIY guy in the beginning stages of wood working and I also do a lot of mechanic work here at the house and at the shop I work at and milwaukee covers me in the impact wrench and right angel impact category but I'm mostly invested into the Dewalt 20v line which has been great to me I need to catch up with there cordless nailer line plus there's been sightings of there new brushless planer that shouldn't be to far behind, I'm like chrisk and many others on here who own multiple brands and enjoy it, it's like owning the best of all worlds. Good luck in making a tough decision and Welcome to this super crazy group of tool junkies that we call the TIA crew!!
Couldn't be said better, don't feel like you need to be tied to one brand.

I am an electrician , I was laughed at when I first pulled out the 12v stuff a few years ago. Now everyone is using them!
You just can't beat them for overall convenience.
I love my 18v Hilti stuff but I will always have the 12v in my bag.

I have a bunch of m12 tools and they are great, good power vs compactness especially when I'm doing electrical stuff, you don't always need all that power and torques.

Just picked up a M18 Fuel Sawzall 2720-20 from HD on sale for $179 - $35.80 (20%HF) = $143.20. I wanted to retire my hacksaw and also use the 2720-20 to cut/trim a few logs when splitting logs instead of starting my chainsaw just for a few cuts. My wife was asking for a electric chainsaw to prune trees, but I thought she might hurt herself if it kicked back. She is known as "Destructo" for a reason. She operates at one speed superfast and constantly breaks things. I thought a sawzall would be safer for her. When I told her it was cordless she was excited. She is now unattached to a electric outlet, maybe this is a mistake, she is now free to cut stuff all over our 18 acres.
I also grabbed a Milwaukee 12 sawzall blade set. Now that I got back online I read that Diablo blades are good. So I ordered two Diablo blade sets for almost the price of the one Milwaukee set. I also see a Milwaukee 15 hole saw set on sale for $32 that gets me over $50 so I can use "HDHOLIDAY" to get $5 off. I have to quit reading, I have done enough damage to my wallet today.
Still waiting on my fuel to arrive I can't wait!

See what you started? Just kidding lol
In all seriousness whether you go Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee your not going to go wrong. I have no experience with Hilti but I've never heard anything bad about them. Myself I have Dewalt 20v and Milwaukee m12. Just recently I bought into the m18 line for saws.
Chrisk mentioned it, look at your needs and what can you get out of a battery platform, don't get caught up trying to have the biggest bad ass drill on the market because you'll go broke every year when each companies have their torque pissing contest. All brands are great and just one 18v platform may not do it, don't be afraid to dip into another line, so what you have two different chargers.
I know kruton has a few different 18v brands and he enjoys them.
So go to the store, pick up some tools and see what you like, who cares if the Dewalt impact has 25 more torques than the Milwaukee. So don't stress and go have fun buying some power tools!!

So over the last month I've noticed that they don't have stick batteries for new 12v, are they going to make the 12v sticks disappear or run them together, that could get a little overwhelming from a new buyers perspective.

So I am thinking about upgrading to a skilsaw worm drive from my craftsman 15amp professional series. Now I see the there are two models one is slightly cheaper, the more expensive one has magnesium. Other than that I don't notice any differences, I looked at the non mag one the other Day but menards did not carry the magnesium one.
So questions....
Are they the same motor just different base materials?
Is it more beneficial to pick up to magnesium, I have a magnesium base in my saw now but I believe the other is aluminum I think I read somewhere.
What do you guys think?

Not too sure on tools shipping with the l boxes, Dan and Eric though reviews a Bosch barrel grip a little while ago and raved about it, they did a 12v too. Pretty sure the one they did though came in an l box.

Thing that I love that Bosch does is a lot of their bare tools ship with their box inserts for the tool to fit in, great concept that Dewalt should look into for their kits.
