  1. You guys trying to bring AOL and ICQ back? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. My garage/workshop is a disaster and I need a major organization overhaul. I have a 24' x 36' garage that is so full of tools and stuff that I can barely fit both of our cars in there. I am trying to design a system to store my tools in a way that they are not buried, but the ones I don't use on a regular basis are out of the way. I have partial systems in place now where I have a rolling cart for my automotive tools, a work bench for my power tools, shelves for misc tools and "stuff", a set of drawers that is so buried I really don't know whats in them and totes for painting, plumbing, auto electric, home electric, vac hoses, etc. I also have 3 electric tool boxes, 2 plumbing tool boxes, a Kreg Jig tool box, a Trim router and bit tool box and my wall/portable cordless tool box I made. Along with tools and socket sets in their own cases, 2 tables saws, a miter saw stand, a band saw, a drill press, 6" jointer, a shop press, multiple floor jacks, lumber, folding tables and the kitchen sink! Actually I have 2 of them in there right now... I want to get a system and do a spring clean up and start fresh. I am trying to decide on more shelves, totes, drawers, peg board or french cleat or tool boxes. I have limited wall space so the french cleat and peg board will be tricky, totes and drawers seem to hide things away and I can never find what I need, tool boxes for hand tools are a pain to dig through and shelves seem to get cluttered and end up with wasted space. What are you guys using that works?
  3. I pinch the nose strap and I have the masks with the vent. I guess I am just full of hot air! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. I will stop at autozone and see what they have. I am also going to run to lowes and get those 3m glasses to try. Unfortunately Home Depot is a 30 min drive for me, so I am stuck with Lowes most of the time. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. I wonder if these will really work? They say anti-fog... http://www.lowes.com/pd_516683-98-SF200WV6_1z0vjgj__?productId=50188639&Ns=p_product_price|0&pl=1&Ntt=anti+fog+safety
  6. Thanks for the input, I will try the Dewalts. Does Milwaukee make any by chance? They seem to have everything else... I will also look for some antifog spray. Wonder if a car windshield product would work? I feel like I may have seen a rain ex antifog product at one point. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  7. I picked up a nice Makita 3612 BR router at an auction on Friday for $50. It works great.
  8. I am looking to upgrade my safety glasses soon and I wanted to know what you guys are using. My problem with the cheap ones I have is that they fog up when I wear a dust mask. I find myself not wearing a dust mask too often when I use my router because I can't see. I made an air filter out of an old furnace blower and 3 furnace filters which helps cut down the fine dust and I have filters with the vent in them, but I don't like blowing my nose all night after I work on a project. I also would like some that are somewhat scratch resistant. The last time I went to the range I grabbed a pair from the garage and when I got set up I noticed I grabbed a pair with scratches right in my line of sight. I don't want to spend a ton, but I need to get something better then the $2 ones I have. Thanks
  9. I see. Thanks for the info, I wondered what all the fuss was about. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  10. The lockout feature would be cool, but the M18 fuel already has 3 speeds plus a self tapping setting, why would you need to adjust it further? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  11. What is the point of the one key to begin with? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  12. Their site says May Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  13. I have been considering the Milwaukee 5616. I already have 2 PC and a Craftsman plus a Harbor freight trim router that is actually a decent tool for $20. I like the grip on the Milwaukee and the adjustment setup.
  14. I bought a Black and Decker 18V drill with a removable chuck 10 years ago or so and it still worked great last year when I sold all my B&D tools. I ended up with 2 over the years and they were both great drills. I always wondered why I didn't see more brands doing that.
  15. Sounds about right. Much more than I could justify for what I would use it for.
  16. Any rumor on the price point yet? I wouldn't mind adding one to my collection if the price is right.
  17. I just picked up one of those in 1/4" with the 3/8" adapter at an auction last week. It looks like it was never used. I think I paid $1 for the whole box of junk... I mean "treasures"
  18. I just replaced my Milwaukee M12 brushed impact with a 2 speed Fuel impact and I love it. I also have the brushed M18 too, but I don't anticipate using it much now unless I am using lags. Home Depot has a deal online right now for $169 for the 2 battery kit and a free tool or battery or for $229 you get the hammer drill and impact combo with a 2.0 and 4.0 battery plus a free tool or battery. I got the right angle drill with my kit and it seems great so far. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for the info. I will add that to my list Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. I considered buying one for my pocket screws, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. Do you like that more than the impact or drill? I have never used one. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. I actually mounted them to strips of wood and screwed them to the back. It gave me channels to tuck the cords in and made it easier to arrange them. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  23. I do like my shelf/tool box I made. I normally use my tools in my garage/shop so the shelf keeps them accessible, but it's a pain to load everything up when I work on a project elsewhere. I made this box that hangs on a french cleat or it closes up to become portable. This is just a prototype out of scrape. The front cover slides under the bottom when it's on the wall. 24. The fuel fit in good. As for the 1.5 batteries, this will be a good starter set for him that we can add to at holidays Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
