  1. Well, they sent the guy out and he, quite unfortunately, says our box isn't set up yet  so we are unable to get DSL [emoji31]

Im crushed. He did say it is in the works and thinks it will be available within 6 months.

  2. i'm still running a HTPC on my main big TV in livingroom, I have the box hidden in the rafters in the basement and all wires are hidden through the floor wall it acts as a server from the other computers in the house so if I download anything it is all stored on that machine sit down flip source on TV and bingo watch what I want.

I've been wanting to build an HTPC for years! My buddy Chris would be pissed though, seeing as he wants me to build a better gaming PC first. I don't make enough time to watch tv, so I'll probably build the gaming pc first. My little Alienware is struggling!
Here's the pc we built for his wife earlier this year. 8f5501faae9b0faa273a6afacf2b6021.jpg8629b9d0249427f8320067786e000aa1.jpg Chris got her a closed loop liquid CPU cooler.

  3. Sweet. I have the same Insulated set. I had to go on a call with one of our other service guys last year, and forgot my insulated Kleins. Stopped at HD and picked those up. Very good for the money! Can't go wrong with a fastback knife either! Have not tried the strippers, but they look nice. Good luck on your new journey!

  4. I own a transit myself and what I'd do for a high roof. Bumped my head too many times. Great vans by the way

I agree. If I had the choice my new van would have been at the very least a mid roof. I'm only 5'11" so I don't really need the high roof, but I wouldn't mind its versatility.

  5. Not sure if this is a good deal or not but it seems pretty good to me!

Though they're not fuel, everything in that bundle (except the grinder, have not tried it) are great durable tools.

  6. @DaveJr. Awesome. Hope to see a build thread.

@NicasRamos that's no good! Hope to see a thread as well.

So I let the caulk set up and I tried the water. I have water coming out of the shower head when it shouldn't. Ugh! I was so close to finishing this. From what I am reading it could be that I used 1/2 " pex from the handle to the shower head? I guess I should have used 3/4" there instead? I really don't want to cut a hole in the stairwell drywall to replace that. If anyone has any ideas it would be GREATLY appreciated.

At the very least I'll do a before and after shot. We're gearing up for a pretty busy few months. One project alone is 3x 5,000 sq. Ft. Bunk houses, and a general store on a bird hunting farm. A 3000 footer that's getting ready to be sheetrocked next week, and a 4500 that we're currently roughing in. We turned down a treehouse build that will be on treehouse masters, because we're already booked solid. We just won't have enough time to do it ourselves. Just the demo, redoing the electrical of course, and paint. I'm "plumb" stupid [emoji23], and I don't have the skill or patience for tile. So that'll be done by someone else.

  7. I use that Amsoil as well. 16 quarts and a huge filter in my f-250 adds the savings when I'm not changing frequent...

But I don't see it as a ”problem"; how people wish to spend their money and where is their business, not mine

I'm also on amsoil. What's nice is if I forget to order, I can call my local distributor and pay the same rate that my membership offers. And pick it up at their shop. I'm only at 12 quarts on my Cummins. Now our company vehicles we take to the shop to get serviced.

  8.

I wish all tools came in a universal box, I kept the systainer obviously, or the L-box my 572 jig came in, those are no brainers considering the contents of the kit, I am considering starting a systainer stack for my sanding needs as well, but when you get the blow mold cases that slide around, I can't stand those

I hear ya! I've been keeping my one key kit in its blow molded case, to try and keep the drills in decent shape as long as possible, but I've had it with that damn box ending up on the other side of the van.

  9. Coming from a professional user, the pod style 12v really gets me into and out of some really tight spots where I know the 18v would be that much larger and not possible to access the spots I've used the 12v tools in. Funny enough, the 12v oscillating tool gets some really tight cuts of drain pipe where just about anything else is out of the question. Hand saw? Maybe, if I wanted a major cramp and wanted to waste 1/2 hour getting it cut.

Now, since Makita no longer makes the pod style 12v tools, I can see your point. But there's a reason I use the pod style of Milwaukee 12v as I just explained, so you have two different users to satisfy

Yeah the m12's can go just about anywhere.

  10. The new Roku stick for 39 bucks is the highest rated one I have seen. I got one during Christmas and it is great. It works much better than using the smart TV as a streaming device for some reason. I believe you can use more than one on any account. I have Amazon prime video and Netflix here at home. Check out "Goliath" on Amazon if you haven't already. Billy Bob is great.

I agree on the smart tv thing. I have a Roku on two different smart TV's because of the interface and the latency (in my case) even on a hardwire connection.

  11. I only have one bro and move it from room to room if needed and it runs off your wifi but u do need a strong wifi or else it will buff a lot, we had to up ours when we first got it

I have 4 Roku's in the house. On stick(1st gen) a 2,3, and a 4. 3, and 4 are on Ethernet, and the stick and 2 are on wifi. We definitely had to step up our wifi in the house

  12. Looks awesome! Me and Dad are fixing to gut his hallway bath for the second time in 6 years! It just didn't come out like we wanted. The layout was about as much as we could do with such a small space, but the finish of the walls and floor came out horrible. At the time Dad made a deal with another contractor to do the shower in this faux stone finish that looks like large stones. They said they would do the restroom walls and floor as well, if Dad upgraded their small shop. Well when we left and they came in to finish the texture they added a horrible pink tint to it! The restroom went from old robins egg blue tile, to pink stone!
