I showed a picture of a 1/2" Dewalt impact on eBay with free shipping and told the clerk I can get one at this price all day long.
He honored it no problem, saved me $20.

You're absolutely right.
Interestingly enough, my wife is of the same opinion. Her van often gets displaced in the garage by trim boards being painted, stair stringers being built, or siding and shingles being stained.
All it takes is space, time, and money.
I've got the space. I can make the time, I don't want to spend the money yet.

"In the shop" sounds foreign to me since I neither have a shop or work in one.
On the job or "at work" sounds more natural for those who work in the shop as well as for those who don't.

The FV battery in the 20v miter saw makes a big difference.
A little higher RPM, perhaps a bit more power.
Nothing quantitative, but it looks like I'll pick up some FV batteries for full time use on my 20v miter and circular saws.

As long as you have the 90 degree stop and the 45 degree stop set correctly, the saw should be in alignment. Make sure to check both the vertical and the horizontal stops.
I've never heard of trying to set a 33.9 degree stop ever.

A FV battery would just increase the runtime. The motor always run at 20V.
Be that as it may, it has more power.
I can tell you from experience that the FV battery makes the saw run better.
I didn't expect it to, ("The motor always run (sic) at 20v.") but it does. I thought it would run the same, but it doesn't.

I know my 20v 6 1/2 circular saw runs awesome with a flexvolt battery. It powers through cuts that would bind with a 4.0 or 5.0 battery.
Although I have the 20v miter, I haven't had the opportunity to try it with the FV battery. I imagine it may do the same. It is a bit slow/underpowered with a 4.0 or 5.0 battery. Now, I'm curious. . .

It comes with a 40 tooth, since it is for cross cutting not ripping the higher tooth count should give smoother cuts.
Very true. I found my used stock 40 tooth blade cut smoother than a brand new 24 tooth Diablo.
It didn't leave a red mark, either.

I have the 20 V jigsaw, I agree that it works great.
I would not wait for brushless version.
It's not too hard on batteries and for most people, I think it's an occasional use tool. Even a three amp hour battery lasts a long time.
