  1. Adding led lights is a game changer for me. When I am setting up equipment it is generally in a low light environment, and it can be very difficult to read the level. I normally will have my flashlight out and holding it in my mouth so I can see the level and work with my hands. I think we will see that be adopted across the board. Great wright up.

    2. Yes. My doctor described the size, or rather the lack thereof as, "medically improbable" and "vomit inducing." They say it's not how big it is, it's how you use it, but at a certain point it is about how big it is. This ratchet is big.

  4. Now the drill is the nicest tool in that line, impact isn't terrible but that's about it, the recip saw just feels terribly cheap, could they use as shittier rubber molding?

I agree completely about the recip saw. I haven't used one but did play with it in the store and wasn't impressed with the feel. I know the kobalt would out perform it, but my old 18v skill recip saw has a better feel in the hand.

  5. The family got a little bigger today. Not a fan of the engraving or the potential grinder or cheater bar marks but feels real solid like if you caught Ron Jeremy about to OD on Viagra so it'll do just fine.

Sweet ratchet. Is it 1/2 or 3/4 drive? I can't tell in the pictures, only looks huge compared to the other ratchets.

  6. I have a 24v drill and driver at home and the company I work for gave me a m18 drill and driver to use there. The M18 works well, but the motor gets hot and the chuck doesn't grip that well. I would say the kobalt drill performs better then the m18. A coworker has the m18 fuel kit and it performs fantastically. My opinion it feels more professional grade then the kobalt, but it is a $500 set so it should out perform it. I think the kobalt is hard to beat for the money, but I do not expect it to hold up as well as the fuel. Yet again I don't think it was designed to.

Unlikely. Wera hasn't revealed anything much yet...not even pricing.

Our Fastenal rep was in today and didn't know anything about them. I'm kinda surprised because he is a tool but too.

  8. That set comes with the foam, I didn't make it myself. PowerTorque has quite a few socket sets that have foam like that. It's nice because it fits in the drawer and nothing rolls around

That is an awesome selling feature. A lot of people like the foam, but don't want to hassle with it.

  10. I have 2 7 amp PC that I got for a steal on Amazon, my favorite part of it is the 3rd position for the safety handle, they make decent cut off tools

That was a pleasant surprise. I found that when I un-boxed it. I have been very happy with it.

  12. Source Front Page:

" A router is one of my favorite tools.  A router can turn any woodworking project into a master piece, it’s like the icing on a cake.  Considering there are hundreds of bits on the market, you can finish of your master piece with pretty much any design.  However in order to create these beautiful finishing touches, you need a solid router"

Nice write up. I was surprised when I saw they came out with it, and then I was surprised no one thought of it sooner.

  14. Though I would share this with ya . if you are on the market for a orbital sander I highly suggest you stay away from porter cable . my experience has been nothing but bad with them , have fixed a lot they vibrate like its nobobies business the bottom have likes to move on its own . just trying to save you guys a lot of problems . if you use a sander a lot or everyday I wouldn't even think about getting one. Just my 2¢ personally I own 7 old 5" makita orbital sanders that I fixed up [emoji6]
