Well, looks like I was wrong about that. Stanley Black & Decker bought the Craftsman brand from Sears today for $900m. No word yet on what that does to existing warranties.
Well this is going to get interesting. I will get my popcorn and watch the drama unfold.

Metric is so easy though!!
Half of 16mm us much easier than half of 7 3/8
I agree. The only bad part is when you need a new tape measure I have to order them because most stores around me have little to none with metric.

Thanks, I ended up buying a box of them.
I picked this up for $25 from CL, variable speed and works like new. Filter is perfect:

Sometimes I'll screw with a guy here and switch between metric and standard, as I have a tape that has both systems on it. He hates it lol
Almost everything at my work is in metric. It is funny watching newbs learning it. We where all there once and had a guy training/screwing with us wile we learned. I'm just glad to fill that role.

Knipex tools are like lays potato chips, you just can't have one.
You can say that about a lot of tools.

should have told him 32 halves
I love screwing with people by saying 16/32 or 6/4 or 6/16. On second thought, maybe I'm just an asshole.

This is what showed up today. I am now officially addicted to knipex as well. For pliers an similar tools Proto is usually my go to brand. This time I went with knipex and am pleased. Never personally owned any besides a couple snap ring pliers. Now I am contemplating ordering plierwrenches. What do you think are knipex plierwrenches as great as people say they are?
Porto is a brand you do not here talked about a hole lot, but they build some really nice tools.

This is definitely a brand I have been eyeballing. I may have to jump on the band wagon too.

I'm surprised she told you so much information, especially Lowe's vs HD.
FWIW I think the store layouts in general are much better at Lowe's. I like how their power tools are sorted by brand, as opposed to having all the tools bunched together by type. Makes things much quicker when I know who makes what and whether they have it or not. It's a bit claustrophobic going through power tools at HD.
Not to go too far off-tangent but I wish Lowe's still had Makita and Milwaukee. In addition to having the most DeWalt stuff they'd have every brand aside from Ryobi and Ridgid well-represented. Conversely I wish HD had more Bosch and Hitachi (I believe you can only get Hitachi at Lowe's now).
She was really cool. My wife and I met her and her husband at a bar in Savanna. She was probing me for as much information as I was from her. I wish both stores had bigger tool selections, both hand and power. I am not a fan of buying most tools online. I would rather be able to touch them and play with them beforehand.

I had to do a double take too. It really was that cheap

Amazing, I have 2 version and haven't ran into anything they couldn't handle, the tooth pattern is different than any other pliers and allows the head to fit in the jaws and still close fairly flush

I'm definitely going to put those on the tool list for the next shopping spree.
