M18 contacts

Hi . My batteries in my M18 impact started moving a while ago and now the contacts are burnt and the shorter outer connectors on the gun don't reach the battery .. and I have to push battery onto contacts to make it work and been told that various other parts have to be changed as it's been updated ...out of warranty so sounds expensive...anyone else had this happen and does anyone know of a fix for it
