I think it is a different model number in the U.S.A and Canada But the one with the metal chuck is the robust series not the plastic chucked model.

I bought a Veto Propac and said damn the postal cost.
Fantastic product, recommend this brand to all trades because the build quality and thought that has gone into them is brilliant.

I have the Bosch robust hammer/ drill driver.
One thing it does have is the best motor protection system I have seen.
It is literally burn out proof.

Metabo do need to get the sales side up to the standard of the tools.

They have just gone to a mad level now Pal.
They have upgraded virtually every tool in the 18v and 12v ranges and taken them through the roof.
also Brushless but More powerful not less like everyone else.
And the latest new torches are just amazing solid aluminium heads with multiple l.e.d and for 12 and 18v

The boxes are identical I would hazard a guess that they even stack/lock together.
No surprise then that he new Metabo stuff is like Festool in many many ways.

They have just upgraded the range yet again and now they have a very similar chuck system to Festool

Easier going from high voltage to lower voltage than the other way round.

All I can suggest guys is a 240v generator and buy a British spec tool that way it will work and have all the features.

Look out for the new 10.8v 12v if you are in the U.S.A Bosch jigsaw and circular saw and at least one new drill.

That's why I have three main battery platforms no one manufacturer has the tools I need at the quality I need on the job site.

The new generation of Metabo are Very Protool/festool like with the new chuck design and angle attatchment.
They have also upgraded virtually every cordless tool with improved specification.
They have to be considered now as truly world class manufacturers.

The latest Bosch tools are incredibly engineered.
And the coolpack batteries on my 18v tools by them are brilliant.
I think the overall standard by all the top 8 manufacturers has moved on over the last couple of years by leaps and bounds.

Bosch daredevil I think they call them on your side of the pond as well as here. As a plumber and Heating Engineer I drill holes all the time and these are the business holes per pound/dollar they are brilliant.

You hardly notice the difference between charging the 3ah and the 5.2ah.
I gladly wait a bit longer for the battery life I get from the Bosch the Metabo and the Dewalt stuff because Makita may charge quickly but they also go flat quickly and also end up in the trash quicker as well.
But these people at Metabo are just ramping it up more and more and are now brushless as well.
Am a big fan of this manufacturer but not exclusively as I have many others from the other players

No worries guys have been using the nailer roughly for 6 months and it is brilliant.
My only gripe is that they have failed to bring out a finish nail version on the same battery platform.

No because Metabo have had 5.2ah Batteries out since 2013 Bud.

Pleased to report that the Dewalt is still going strong. I got it with two 4.0ah batteries and have yet to have a jam, or a nail not go all the way in.
Very reliable, no set up time, no hoses, no compressor to lug around and no smelly expensive time sensitive gas to buy. It's a win win win.
Battery life has not been an issue as the second battery has been ready to go by the time the first is ready to charge,
One other thing I found is the consistent way it drives the nails, first to last they all seem to go the depth you have set. I have found with gas nailers that this can vary greatly with the amount of gas in your canister, the temp, and the age of your gas canister.
None of which is an issue with the Dewalt.
Great tool and very glad I bought one.
Just pull your finger out Dewalt and bring out a finish nailer on the same battery platform.
That would sell in the truck load.

Sorry folks Makita are shit and that's official.
Have tested several grands worth and they are utter crap. They either break, smoke, batterys fail, chuck almost fell of another one, and tell me they are wonderful when the battery charging point is Home and you are thirty miles away with batteries that last as long as a mayflies love life. LOL
Veto propac too expensive in the U.K WHY???????????????

It is just so well constructed.
I have killed every tool bag I have ever owned in a month or two, this thing is like brand spanking new after the same amount of time, and showing no sign of wear whatsoever and that's in England folks where it is not exactly known for nice weather lets be honest.
