phffter
you guys may have noticed that i'm NOT a fan of cordless tools. i usually wind up stringing out a cord to finish a job. and the co$t of replacement batteries? are you kidding me? anyways, another nail in that coffin - hopefully not mine. the past week, was notified by my cardiologist wanting an 'in office' meeting. was told that the generation of battery powered ICD in my chest, that was replaced last year, is on a recall list. icd's battery life is 6-8 years. im dependent, so 6 is it. device subject to sudden rapid battery depletion. replacement is scheduled soon.

rrich1
that sucks. my father in law had a massive hear attack a few years ago and had to have an L vad put in. had to wear 2 vhs sized batteries everyday that lasted approx. 12 hrs. got a heart transplant 2 years ago so now he isn't dependent on them anymore. hopefully your surgery goes well.
