How much to pay for used thickness planer

Thoughts on what percentage discount is reasonable to pay for a secondhand tool that is new and never used. This is a Rigid R4331, so it will have a three year warranty from manufacture date, but not the Lifetime Service Warranty to the original owner. Currently $459 at Home Depot, the owner is asking $375.00.

If it has never been used, I think that is a decent value, that is 18% off HD price.  Plus you don't have to pay tax.  You just have to ask yourself is the extra $84 worth the lifetime warranty.  For me, i would roll the dice and take the chance.  However I always seem to make the wrong choice.
