New DEWALT® Vinyl Grip Screwdrivers Offer the Durability and Comfort That Pros Demand From Hand Tools;

NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 5, 2011 – DEWALT announced today the introduction of 18 vinyl grip screwdrivers as a key part of its new line of hand tools, during a product introduction luncheon at the Westin Times Square. “Designed for electricians / HVAC professionals, plumbers, general contractors, and remodelers, the new line-up of screwdrivers offer the durability and comfort that pros demand from hand tools,†said Global Product Manager Tuck Viyakornvilas.

DEWALT constructed its new screwdrivers using a cold-formed steel bar that is chrome plated for corrosion resistance and durability. Each tip features a rust-resistant black oxide treatment to help ensure a precise fit and reduce stripping and/or camming out of the fastener during use.

User research revealed that pros were looking for improved tip identification for quick selection from a tool pouch. This simple feature is especially helpful when standing on a ladder or working in tight spaces. Not only are the handles color coded, they are marked on the top to help the user distinguish between Phillips®, standard, and square tips quickly and easily. Featuring cellulose acetate handles for chemical resistance, the vinyl grips provide comfort as well as a firm grip for applications that require heavy torque.
