1R954Baker-hvac
interested in constructing an in ground pool of some sort for my parents in the future ... what would be the cheapest options if just paying for materials or what are some good routes to go... DR99
As a diy project the fiberglass pool is probably the cheapest and easiest. You just dig the hole and drop the fiberglass liner in. The other options like tile or cement are time consuming and you need special tools to pump the concrete
Brien
Yup, drop in fiberglass would be the first route I would look into. Also I think the maintenance in years to come would be easier.
Toolman2
Do they live in Florida as well? If so, it depends where in Florida they live because of elevation issues. There have been several instances here in the state of fiberglass pools uprooting and coming out of the ground. If they're in a higher elevation area like we are, then it shouldn't be a problem. We have an 18x36 in-ground made of concrete blocks under marcite. It's been there since 1975 and still works great.
