comp56
Picked a couple of these Milwaukee 4" (102MM) STOP LOCK clamps and thought I would post a few closer pictures and give my thoughts.Right around the $10 mark you may find them for more or less but it seems to be in around that price point.first thoughts were the un-mistaken red and black colour of the clamp is equipped with the somewhat softer hand pads and the Milwaukee logo. A full size hand is needed to secure the clamp as the design opens the two part handle wider as the claws open. The engineered Polymer Pads at each end of the clamp opening are connected with a rivet and have an aggressive texture for added gripping. HEX bar design offers easy one-handed clamp release, as you tighten the clamp locks a simple flick of a finger will release the clamp...... As much as this is a light weight clamp Milwaukee has added extra strength by having molded gussets in each of the two handles along with the clamp arms. The clam realistically can hold items at it's maximum size however when maxed out it becomes a two handed operation, ideally a couple or so inches seems to be the right fit... +STOP LOCK™ Mechanism - Clamp jaws will not back off jobsite materialEngineered Polymer Pads - Optimized pad geometry for more secure clamping on variety of jobsite work surfacesHex Release Mechanism - HEX bar design offers easy one-handed clamp releaseRiveted Pivoting Clamp Pads - Pads won't fall off when clamp is engagedHigh Grade Resin - Built to provide strength and durability on the jobsiteRust Protection - Increases tool life by reducing corrosionErgonomic Handles - Anti-pinch, non slip grips for maximum comfort and superior performanceLimited Lifetime WarrantyNOTE: Every MILWAUKEE hand tool is warranted to the original purchaser only to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Subject to certain exceptions, MILWAUKEE will repair or replace any hand tool which, after examination, is determined by MILWAUKEE to be defective in material or workmanship for the lifetime of the tool. Return the hand tool product to a MILWAUKEE factory Service Center location freight prepaid and insured, is required. A copy of the proof of purchase should be included with the return product. This warranty does not apply to damage that MILWAUKEE determines to be from, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance or accidents. Final Thoughts: After thinking about how many things you can clamp down either for a few seconds or a few hours I came up with several hundreds......Being the Milwaukee STOP LOCK clamp are made from High Grade Resin they would be limited to cold clamps, you wouldn't want to be waiving any kind of heat around the clamped area.the feel in your hand seems comfortable and the fit and finish has a top notch look as well. All things considered I would recommend having a few of these clamps readily handy....
