electromage
I've been looking for a high quality metric-only socket set to keep in my car kit, and came across this. It has a good range of socket sizes, extensions, and driver bits for general automotive use, and it looks nice and compact. Being in the US, I haven't heard much about European tools. Can anyone share experience with this or similar stuff from Wera?
ChrisK
I've got that kit plus the SAE socket set too. Awesome kit, very compact, nice finish.
DR99
It's a nice kit don't get me wrong at all, but you could get a Kobalt kit that is still pretty nice for a lot less money. If you want something a little more premium take a look at Gear Wrench. I have been buying their stuff lately.
ChrisK
Yeah plus I paid quite a bit less for my kit but the KC price is actually good. I got mine on eBay.
electromage
Thanks for the feedback. I have a Crescent X6 kit, but it's just not what I thought it was going to be. It has a decent range of sockets, but it's too bulky, and the pass-through design just isn't worth it. There's also no good way to store it. The plastic tray is cheap and some of the sockets fall out, and I can't just snap them into my HF socket strips like a standard square drive.
