comp56
it is nice if it was the same price point, I have used grinders of some kind for over 30 years pretty hard to get used to a fast stopping grinder now. If the previous non braking version is the same grinder except having the brake then I don't need an upgrade. I can see this as a safety feature but not at $50 or so dollars to me it would be like giving a teenager a cell phone with a dial on it....I would still stop the blade or lay it down upside down anyway................. comp56
yes I agree, some companies are going full speed ahead with safety and I can see them implementing advances like this no different than a lot of places shunned aluminum ladders back in the day for safety reasons..... KnarlyCarl
Awesome man, I was looking at getting the fuel grinder kit when acme had their sale, couldn't feel I should put that money at the time, just wait until I feel I really need one. The safety thing on jobs gets us at times, at one place, we were warned of an inspector that was scheduled to come that day, so we the one aluminum ladder we were using out of sight. Turns out, another contractor was caught with one and got fined for it... Another place wouldn't let me use my grinder without a guard, that was a good call, I just got a second hand grinder without a guard, never put one on, but after that I did get a guard for it. HiltiWpg
I used to loved my M18 Fuel grinder, great tool. The only thing it needed was a brake! Awesome. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Stercorarius
Safety is my middle name! (and Neglects is my first name), yes it has been legally changed from misuse. All kidding aside I'd like to know, ignoring pricing, which you would choose: the Milwaukee or Metabo 115 quick?
dwain
i've not personally tried Metabo's grinders so I can't really say. check these two links: http://www.coptool.com/brushless-grinder-showdown-2015-milwaukee-makita-metabo/ http://www.toolsofthetrade.net/cordless-tools/18-volt-cordless-angle-grinders_o.aspx?dfpzone=home the first one is the BL Metabo, second link is the brushed. I honestly can't pick a hypothetical, they are too close..
