Too bad its hard to search for because gay powered Ryobi just brings up their kinda crappy yard tools. These must be from pre TTI Ryobi though.

You cried when the Death Star blew up didn't you?
You're missing the real issue. I don't think the patent protection issue is why everyone hates the guy. If I recall correctly (and I do), where he lost most of us was when he started lobbying to force us to buy his saw and take everyone else out of the game unless they paid him for his use of his technology, wanted or not. Estimates when he was trying to pull his shit in California were that the price of a contractor style saw could double. The Reaxx lawsuit just reaffirmed to all of us that the guy was a dick, but most of us disliked the bastard long before that.
Oh I'm sure it'd be great for him if I had no choice but to buy a saw with his technology in it, that when triggered requires a replacement cartridge that I can only get from him, and blades that I can only purchase from him, etc, but as a consumer, that's not my concern. I don't need his technology and I'd rather cut off my finger than give that bastard a nickel. When his efforts at world domination failed, he ended up creating a good quality saw and establishing his brand through marketing and product necessity. If he'd have done that to start with we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Makita has a charger that will play a tune when the battery is fully charged, but I haven't heard of a tool brand that has an auditory alert on low battery power yet, for low power its all led lights.

While Bosch and Hitachi are capable of being at the top of a game, per se, personal experience from over forty years in buying power tools for use in shop, and on the job site, belies the fact that they build for long lasting reliability or durability. Of all the brands I have used over the years, Bosch portable power tools have shown the highest critical failures of any other brand, from my personal consumption, and Hitachi power tools have had the highest design failures due to cost saving measures that have severely shorted tool life and or use. Due to this, I cannot judge any of their current offerings on the market because I refuse to trust them to surpass their own history.
On the other hand, my first choice of jig saw blades, as well as core bits and concrete drills, are Bosch products. I also would consider purchasing a Hitachi industrial grade shop tool, having owned one in the past and it not having any of the issues that their portable power tools displayed.
Opinions change, but in my view, large corporations have great difficulty in doing so, unless monetary losses force them to change. I use what works for me, regardless of brand name, and what generally works for me has had a long history of doing so.
Surprised about Bosch they usually seem to win the tool torture tests more often than other brands

Whats the thing above the grinders looks like a trim router but the oddest design yet.

They need some new blood in Bosch tools NA. Hitachi is killing Bosch now in tool offerings!!

I have Bosch and Makita. Two platforms are great. I wouldn't say Makita is cheaper. In fact I would say they are probably the most expensive. They have an excellent range of tools though and I am happy with them. Bosch definitely has a smaller line of tools but there is just something about them that I like. I supplement with Makita what I can't get with Bosch.

Bosch is fine is you know you only need certain tools and don't want anything specialty.

I would said Milwaukee in an instant just because they had awesome promotions back in the day, but now the promo's are not as great.

I would try contacting Milwaukee, but I don't see any solution being expedient though. You could have possibly popped a fuse, but that's about all I can think of. I also have no idea how you would fix it either.

I swear they demoed a hedge attachment at GIE last year Ego I',m talking about.

It was like almost 7 months before CPO shipped some peoples items

Are you talking about international sales or something else?

They make great solid tools but their PR is probably the weakest out of all the brand. The other thing is they have such a small lineup of tools that expands at a snails pace!

The person I feel bad for is investing in Bosch they are good tools but don't expect much in specialty tools at all. I will say its a little better now, but in general Bosch has the smallest lineup, and is the slowest growing.

Osha silica rules are pushing cordless dust collection/vacuums. Also Dewalt releasing tools in other markets is a test to gauge interest and part of it some tools they know just won't sell like the Flexvolt Alligator saw. Dewalt stuck out when then released a track saw years ago people didn't know what it was about funny thing is Festool is actually helping Dewalt a little in that regard and people see what track saws are about and how useful they can be.

I think that because Milwaukee produce 30 new tools a year *innovation!* that people expect everyone else should. Well you heard it here first, not every company wants to be Milwaukee.
Do you know how many impact drivers Metabo has made on it's current lineup? 1
How many nailers have Bosh produced? 1. Metabo: 0. Makita: 1.I get that people WANT stuff, but there's a difference between requesting/hoping and demanding/expecting.
Edit: And by the way, I'd take Dewalts 16Ga nailer over everyone else's put together (except Hitachi, who I haven't tried yet).
We have seen some issues with Milwaukee releasing so many tools so fast the finish nailers being a good example of a tool that needed some more time to bake in development.

I have to go back on Instragram to see what they released but I thought they put out something similar to the M18 Radius?
-
Well it took awhile for the 20v max lineup to fill out. The first year and a 1/2 was just the basic's. It took a good 2 years for a jobsite radio, and forever for a finish nailer replacement. That annoyed a ton of guys especially when they came out with a framer first.

Nothing so far and it might be awhile Snow removal is a smaller market than say a lawn mower. You never know what product managers are thinking though. It does make sense as Dewalt probably has a bigger built in market than B&D regarding 18/20v tools.

Dewalt is finally competitive with Milwaukee regarding lighting options now.

I didn't hear anything this year. Sometimes they just decided to do the announcement at an industry event if its something more minor or a refresh.
DYIer looking for a good tool platform.

Dwain just because your south of the equator doesn't have to make you evil!! For the non Pro Ryobi has the biggest lineup of tools and the newer releases have stepped up the quality and performance. The other thing is Ryobi has some of the best deals on batteries. Home depot did 2 packs of 4.0ah's batteries for years over different tool holidays.
