  1. I just looked at the cardboard box mine came with it lists 10x motor life, 2xpowe,r 4xrutime, on it  and contains on the bottom a list on whats included 1 4.0xc and 1 2.0 battery what does the bottom of your box say or if you have the chance to possible take a picture of it. The M12 fuel impact you bought has the new batteries? One other thing I though of was maybe there was some kind of government testing/certification they haven't completed. But that sounds strange if the impact has the new batteries and the drill didn't I'm really stumped on this one. I would take a picture of my box but my phone is out getting repaired it died this previous Sunday I was so pissed.

  2. I have the Hammer drill version of that kit and it had the new 2.0 and 4.0 ah batteries. You might be able to get Milwaukee to send you the correct batteries, or just return it and wait awhile while they restock. Was the kit cheaper than the normal retail price? I was wondering if they were trying to get rid of the old batteries. Were any of the batteries in plastic bags, and was there any wear of the batteries? It could be some one swapped out batteries. The packaging thing is interesting. I had something similar happen when I bought a clamp meter off cpo and it had a non redlithium battery in the kit when it was supposed to be in it they send out a red lithium battery to correct the problem and didn't ask for the old battery back  The other thing is just it was a straight up factory error. I really love the drill and hope they can fix the issues that your having the thing is so powerful for it's size you really question the need for 18 volt tools for a lot of uses.

  3. I really wish I could justify a rotohammer a plain ole percussion hammer drill does most of the stuff I do just fine small tapcons and anchors. When I borrowed one though I do see the benefits though they just plow though cement like butter and they are not nearly as obnoxious sounding. BTW nice review Wayne having a guy on the other side of the pond lets us see tools we don't get which is fun and interesting but kinda sucks we can't get them, or we get an early sneek peak of future tools we might see.

  4. I hadn't really given a wood stove any thought. Something to think about though.

Natural gas is pretty cheap right now and its so easy to use you just flick the thermostat over and you got heat. If you really wanted to be fancy you could get a wifi thermostat for 100 bucks and put the temp up before your even in the garage. I love the smell of a wood stove, but im too lazy to deal with the work that goes with it. I have 2 8 foot high output flourecent lights in my garage and love it they fire up just fine even when the garage is freezing in the middle of a michigan winter. How would you bury a compressor though the logistics of it seem kinda crazy I'm not trying to insult anyone by asking.

  5. If you need a cordless framing nailer this is the time to get it the cheapest price I saw online was $359. If you can get them to stack on a 10% off coupon it would be ever better. It would be a smoking deal if you can get them to take the 20% off Harbor Freight coupon that all depends on the store though some people have really good luck others strike out. I personally never tried the Harbor Freight coupon matching deal.

  6. Why would you prefer a non electric brake over the electric brake version? The electric brake seems like something tool companies would prefer to sell because it makes the tool a little bit safer. You know guys like to pin guards open and such I know they are being stupid in the first place,  but you figure they would want to mitigate any issues as much as they can.

I'm going to have to think about this list though I like a ton of tools picking the top 3 is really making me think about what tools I really like the most.

  7. The Black and Decker Versapack drill, reciprocating, saw, and flashlight from the factory recon store. I think I sold them at a garage sale as the batteries were dead and I had much better tools by then the first generation ryobi lithium ion tools.

  8. Well I feel kind of bad now I didn't know TEKTON was based in Michigan. I never really considered their products before didn't really know about them to be honest I hope I can add on to my collection of tools with some TEKTON tools this time around.

  9. Ok, I will come out of the closet.......I run a Hardware Department for Home Depot in Michigan. I think that we caught on that selling this $89.00 dollars in a REALLY GOOD DEAL! They are fazing this out and just are going to sell the table, which is around $99.00 dollars and the router itself which is $59.00 dollars. Any time it says "Out of Stock Online" is a sign that the item is going away. Some HD's may have them on the self if they are left over and others(like mine) sold out the stock we had months ago.

I have to say one thing that draws me to buy tools more often at HD is the clearance tool rack section. The Lowes by me hardly has anything out and it it is the discount is a joke its often like 20 bucks off the normal price.

  10. Yea the big problem is blow molded cases waste so much room and your screwed if you need to carry more than 2 of them. Another bs move tool companies do is when they release something new like the m12 fuel line they only offer the tools individually not as a combo pack I think most people have figured out unless you need the extra batteries is a waste of money. The only reason I did it was they had the free 4.0 and 2.0 ah battery giveaway going on.

  11. Yea I was just thinking about this also this is really a weak area for Milwaukee is their lack of a tool storage system like Dewalt or Bosch considering Milwaukee is such a trade oriented tool company I would have expected a nicer system to have some organization. I will say their blow molded cases are the nicest out there, but like everything they don't give you any space to put any extra bits or just random things you need with the tool.

  12. Yea I was just helping an older neighbor put up some garden tool racks after he had his garage rebuilt after a fire. He was using a really old Black and Decker drill it had seen better days. He was just shocked at how quick everything went after I got my M12 fuel Impact driver. He was just shocked at the noise it made and everything he though the thing was broken. I guess I kind of got off track about what was going on here, but yea power tools can last a long time they just end up being kinda worthless too use except for some rare heavy duty ones.

  13. I would expect to see a bunch of new m18 fuel tools. If I was a betting man a new version of the 18v sds with with a brushless motor is up there in new tool announcements. I hope so see some brushless cutting tools a it would be really cool to see a fuel circular saw with a full sized blade. I have nothing against a brushless sawzall either. Would be interesting if the we saw some  m28 fuel tools.

  14. The only thing I can think of is 12v charger is smaller and the 12v max was out before 20v max tools, but you would think economy of scale would make dewalt think on just having one charger. Also they should have a multi battery charger out now they have the one that does the old plug and the new packs, but don't have one that won't charge more than one 20v max pack.
