Well Milwaukee should be having a press day soon so if they don't announce anything then you should be pretty safe, but it won't stop them from having a surprise release either like replacing the m12 sds non fuel with the fuel model in less than a year.

Might want a wifi booster nearby the internet is great for tips and such for all sorts of projects if the house is big enough to need a booster.

I would run a subpanel in the garage it might end up making things simpler in the long run. Also If it's really hot and humid I would consider getting an AC unit of some kind. Good lighting is kind of a given. I dunno If drywall and insulation is in the cards at the moment. Also an area to put a compressor that's out of the way and keeps the noise down would be nice if your using air tools a lot. Also if possible build the garage up on like one course of brick keeps things cleaner if you want to be able to hose it down. A nice floor coating of some kind is an idea.
-
Well is this just going to be a car garage or more of a workshop garage? Is the garage going to be attached or detached? A few ideas would be having a drain in the floor its nice so you can wash off a car when it's cold out, and also bring out hot and cold water if possible if you really want the man cave garage I would put up a urinal if you can they have the no flush ones now. Lot's of nice tool storage and benches. That's all I can think of now. One last thing try to go as high as possible with the garage for attic storage if possible.

Yellow clashes with a red fire truck just saying there is another brand that would match the fire truck.

I just use the husky set I got for Christmas I don't do enough wrenching on stuff to justify pending any more money on hand tools.
-
I just want to know why Milwaukee can't put the 3 led lights in the nose of their impact driver like most of the other companies even their sister companies have it like ridgid and rybobi.
-
Wow none of the other brands cordless tools even come close in the amount of torque the IR impact wrench has.
-
Not really sure if this needs to be posted on this forum not a lot of interest in IR tools from what I have seen this site tends to be more DIY/Contractor where as this IR tool is more of a Professional Mechanic's tool, but it still can be used on different job sites also same with a good chunk of the other Ingerseoll Rand tools like their compressors.http://www.coptool.com/ingersoll-rand-w7150-impact-wrench-free-battery-deal/

It's hard to look through everything they have but they had some good prices on a refurb Rigid 5 piece x4 combo kit for under 350 dollars.

I love my little m12 hackzall. I do like the features of the Dewalt though also the how it pivots is pretty awesome. My plan is to have as few battery platforms as possible. It' would be pretty cool if Milwaukee made an adapter to use 2 m12 batteries on an m12 tool like makita has with the 2 18 volts equaling 36 volts. The only problem I see with my idea is the tool could be awkward to use unless you could figure out a good slidepack to the m12 plug style converter.

This could be a huge seller for Milwaukee The problem is Home Depot has no jackets to try on in store so you can get the sizing right plus people need to see it in person to get an idea on how it works. Milwaukee really should have a nice kiosk so you can order the m12 jackets and even get the embroidering done on the high vis models, and besides dealing with the jackets it could be used for ordering tools that a local store would never inventory. I bought 3 different sizes to try, and you should have seen the reactions from the csr people they had no idea anything like this was out. I also get a ton of people asking me why my jacket glows in the middle of winter they love the idea with the packs having the ability to power cordless tools.
-
Yea they did put out a new version of the existing jobsite radio it didn't change too many things. The big thing is makita has so many specialty 18v tools no one else has like a concrete vibrator, or a legit battery powered miter saw.
-
Yea I have no idea why Dewalt hasn't release a multi tool considering they could borrow the one from Porter Cable, Yea being an early adopter to the 20v max line was kinda dissapointing. I was think new releases ever 6 months it ended up being ever year some new tools were released. The 20v lineup is pretty solid now except for some powered caulk guns and trim nailers they pretty much have the same number of tools as the old xrp line
-
I never got why Dewalt left out some kind of battery gauge on the launch of the 12v 20v max tool lines. It was supposed to be this huge new push into this new tool line and the early adopters are the ones that got hosed they did release batteries with gauges a year or so later.

I did see something new from my local HD they have started to stock some Makita Bare tools they never did that before.
-
I don't think Makita has updated their cells as often as the other companies. I know part of the problem for Milwaukee was some of the first generation cells were horrible. I think milwaukee is on their 4 or 5 th generation of battery tech now, and most other companies have moved on to newer cells with better cold weather performance.

I have the coat and the M18 power port I have 4 slim and 4 xc batteries too choose from there. Just seems like I have too many batteries floating around lately.
-
I probably need 1/2 of that for the kind of work I do. Should I try and Sell the whole lot for one price, or would it be better to break it down too one changer and one battery for 30 bucks. I Just ordered the new 12v fuel kits with the free battery deal so I will have 4 2.0 ah and 2 4.0 ah packs. I only need like maybe 3-4 of the old ones I Might just sell my old Drill and impact set with 4 batteries and 2 chargers for like 150 175 on craiglist. Just trying to make sure I don't end up losing a ton of money before they loose all their value on the used market.
-
Well I returned my bare tool m12 fuel purchases and bought them in kit form for the 40 extra bucks it was worth it plus getting a free 2.0 and 4.0 battery sealed the deal for me.
-
Menards is great for selection but I don,t like the power tool selection. Seems like they only carry Bosch, Masterforce and their line of Tool Shop.
Yea that's the only thing that really sucks about the exclusivity deals Home Depot has with Makita and Milwaukee. Ryobi and Rigid were not bad as exclusives to them, but they pretty much have a good chuck of the power tool market with all the brands that are exclusive to the HD now.
-
Freud Diablo is what I have used most of the time haven't had any problems with them.
-
They don't sell the Bosch green tools in the USA yet. The only way you could get it is ordering it from a store in the uk plus the cost of a voltage converter for the charger they use a different voltage over there. The best bet I can think of is a pruning blade on a cordless sawzall unless you really want to spend the money to get that specific tool.
-
Not any hand tool socket sets yet they do have case hardened sockets for impact drivers and impact wrenches though

You might not watch some tv but a sound system might be nice or at least run some speaker wire beforehand.
