in all honesty, i was buying dewalt just for the sake of buying dewalt, i have since got over this as this doesnt send the right message either.i wont buy another reciprocation saw from dewalt unless they can prove to me its better. i totally agree with hugh jass, but for mine i have a tree stump out back that its going to be put on and its going to make some great target pratice

dont know about the angle saw, im heavily invested in the the 18/20v dewalts, i have the dcs380, compared it to my friends m18 and the dewalt definitly has more vibration. i love the the 4 position blade clamp on the dewalt, i use it all the time to keep changing position of the saw

wasnt sure if i was going to like this box, ive been spoiled by the tough system, but i bought it about a week ago to store my fast growing m12 system. i have to admit, im liking it. the corner pockets are really neat. the lid has screw holes so you could maybe store your charger up there. for me that isnt going to work, i wouldnt be able to shut the lid. the main compartment has channel ribs molded in so you could partition it off with ply if you wanted to. those might be alittle wide, 3/8 would have been plenty instead of the 1/2-5/8 that it is. minor thing. has a weather seal gasket on the lid, and also has a pipe holder/clamp with the box handle that really works. had to cut 60 feet of steel closet rod other day. put pipe in groove, push down handle, hold pressure with foot and cut away, does not move.

oh oh, same thing going on with me, just recently bought into the m12 line, after being nothing but yellow for the last 16 years, i never bought so many tools so fast as i am with this line. im starting to think maybe something subliminal going on

all my dewalts have a push in bit placement without touching the chuck.my m12 tools same feature.
-
the big thing i guess is not to try and charge them at extreme temperatures
-
none of my tools ever come in for the night, no matter how cold or hot it gets, i have 8 toughsystem boxes, 4 of which are loaded with dewalt battery tools, for me i have no choice, and now that i know that this m12 system is one tough beast, its going to have the fate as all of my dewalts. lol

we are in a record cold weekend here in the northeast. sat the temp never got above 5 degrees, with 30 mph winds. i had to finish a set of stairs for a deck we were working on. i had my newly acquired m12 system that is still growing, and i had my dewalt 18 volt system. all tools were outside for about 5 hrs, laying on the ground, in the snow, only thing that was babied was me, i kept running in to warm my hands. only trouble i had was the m12 xc3.0 batteries i just bought at home depot, they worked fine in the drill, impact driver, on and off in the m12 cir saw, and not at all in the hacksaw. 4.0 batteries worked fine in everything. 2.0 batteries worked fine in all but hacksaw. all four dewalt 18v were fine. when i got home i brought all the tools in to fully charge all batteries, we were goint to have record cold temps sat night. when i woke up sun at 5.30 am it was -18.. i put all tools out on deck for 3 hours, completely exposed. i know bit extreme but i was curious. at 8.30 this morn i went outside to test. all dewalt tools fired up no problem. in the m12 system, two 4.0 worked in everything but hacksaw, one 3.0 worked in everything but hacksaw, one 3.0 only worked in drill, impact, and all three lights. the two 2.0 worked in everything but hacksaw. all tools are the fuel version. after just a few minutes of warming up, everything worked. the hacksaw seems to need more push than a cold battery can give it. all in all i was really impressed with the performance of both systems, more so with the little m12 system.

interesting, dewalt has a 90 day return no questions asked. luckly ive never had to use that, you buy a dewalt tool ,even if you dont like it after using it you can bring it back, before 90 days. i have 20 plus dewalt tools, none have ever been repaired. the only trouble i ever had was a 20 volt kit homedepot had, that didnt work out. i would not hesitate to buy this router combo again. i like it that much.

what are the negatives your hearing about
-
i never thought much of the light when i bought it, but after using it its one of the best things, especially when your routing hinges when the jamb is already installed.
-
i have the dwp611 with both bases, and i think its a great little router. had it for almost two years now. other guys have used it and i havnt heard any negatives yet on it. the build quality is very nice.

my local curtis lumber store sold festools, the markup was 50 to 70 percent, over twice what the markup was on american brand tools.
