That is one reason I bought these. Alot of door hardware on 50's, 60's and 70's cars and trucks have this size What is it?? Number 8 or 10 sheet metal screw is this size as well

The tool set is ok. I've used the tools sparingly without issue. I got it for around 120 dollars when it was on sale with addition of associate discount and some syw points I don't think I would have picked it up at full retail. Now the ratchet wrenches have done really well and they have become my go to sets. I like them better than the other brands I have--craftsman, blue point, gearwrench, titan and cornwell.

I'm not really sure?? I didn't pay attention. I'll have to look the next time I am in Sears . I know the ratchet wrenches are sourced from Taiwan

Here's some pictures of dewalt mechanics tools. The pictures are not the clearest as I'm still playing with this new camera. Hopefully the next batch that I take will be better. Some other brands were used for comparison purposes.

Guess I need to get the camera ready. Of course I ?took one apart. Isn't that a prerequisite to joining one of these tool forums? The obsessive curiosity syndrome to see how things work?

Speaking of dewalt tools, I have the 200 something piece set and a set of metric and sae ratchet wrenches. You all want to see some pics?? anything in particular?

Ease of warranty is one of those personal things. Certain tools that I buy that I break rather easily, I prefer an easy warranty. Torx bits, Hex bits, screwdrivers being some. Seeing how I've been using tools for nearly 40 years, I have bunches and bunches of stuff so breaking something doesn't stop me from getting something done. I have another so I can wait a couple weeks to mail stuff in or wait for the tool truck guy to get a new one. Contrary to what gets posted on another site, the tool truck guy doesn't have everything is stock. Somebody who is just starting out that doesn't have back ups for back ups, easy fast warranty would be a bigger selling point

Not as well as was hoped. To warranty these tools requires a receipt and contacting dewalt. In other words one is not carrying a broken dewalt tool into Sears and exchanging it. I'm wondering if this may be a cause.

I have one of these ratchets. I got it back late summer last year from the wife who is a manager at sears. They were given out at a Sears convention in Vegas. I've found it works well when removing front wheel tub to firewall supports on 60's/70's ford trucks.The wobble feature comes in handy in tight quarters in this application. Other than that--meh It's intended market appears to be for apartment/condo dwellers kitchen tool drawer.
