  1. I've got a bunch of PB Swiss acetate that I got on clearance a while back, and I like the smell - reminds me of toys from way back in the day, before most of you were born.
  2. Ideal does have a "bargain" line that's made in Taiwan. Haven't been in Lowe's in years, so not sure what they are currently carrying, but the Taiwan-made ones are nowhere near the same caliber. Edit - from the prices in FrosBros pic, those have to be US-made. Better be.
  3. As with any great Amazon deal, the price resets after one or two are sold. It did take them over a month to ship it, but I've got no complaints, obviously.
  4. Ideal Industries, as are all of the tools in the kit. They make electrician's tools specifically, on par with Klein. They also bought and resurrected SK Tools fairly recently.
  5. Scored this Ideal Master Electrician's Kit for $127 - less than half of what the premium leather Tuff Tote goes for alone. US-made tools, with the tote made in Canada.
  6. This came this morning - damaged, unfortunately.
  7. Is that all it is? Maybe it's that they're more nose-heavy, to me. The added overall bulk is more probably the term I was looking for. The added length really is seldom an issue in my usage, as any place I'm in drilling that's tight I'm using one of the M18 Hawgs, or otherwise the impact with a Daredevil.
  8. XWT08Z. Looks to have about the same specs as my M18 Fuel HT, which hasn't met a challenge that it couldn't easily handle yet, even up here in rusty, crusty NH, including all of the suspension work on my full-size trucks.
  9. For a gas job, with a large yard with inclinations, yes. A cordless, with a small, flat yard, no.
  10. Have it on a few of my cordless, never use it. Though, every time I pick one of them up, I'm reminded by the extra weight that it's there. If you don't do enough to justify having an SDS with you, I suppose they're great.
  11. I use my M12 Fuel screwdriver or impact for a lot of it, but including a few nut drivers, I probably carry 15 screwdrivers in my main bag with me, which is never far from my side. I own plenty of them, but I just have never found the benefits of a multi-bit to outweigh the detriments, personally. I do like my Megapro as a house junk-drawer screwdriver, but that's about it.
  12. I'm a couple towns from there. Only got an inch down in the center of town, but I'm 400' higher. Didn't lose power, and didn't know that so many did. Odd weather lately, for sure.
  13. Took a break from the tools, and customers, today. Hiked the mountain out back my house. 93 here, after waking up to 5" on the ground Sunday morning. Found 2 winter-kill moose remains, but not a lot of other sign. Back to the grind tomorrow. Actually, it ain't bad at all, but it's fun to say.
  14. Clearance score: Ideal kit - $250+ online, scored it for $51. The pouch alone goes for that normally. All US-made, other than the tape, and the pouches are made in Canada.
  15. They had 3 M18's and 3 M12's last time I was at the closest HD, and this was all that was left today - $35. Even though I have an M18 already, would have preferred another of those, but it's an hour's drive, so can't get out there often enough to really keep on top of the clearance stuff.
  16. Yep, they call them Hackzalls for a reason.
  17. If someone had the amount of tools that I do and they were not a pro, I'd say you might have a bit of a problem. For a contractor, I'd say it's a problem if you didn't.
  18. One of those fluke Amazon deals, where the price shot to $150 after I made my purchase.
  19. Not enough to notice, I don't think. I tried it with a 2-9/16", in my M18 HH. Even if it helped it maybe a bit up until the hole saw itself engaged, once the teeth are cutting, I don't think that little spur is really adding much.
  20. Only took me a couple of minutes to do, but in trying it out, I didn't really notice any marked difference over the stock pilot.
  21. 80 here now, which is about 40 degrees warmer than some days were earlier in the week. Wife's off, so I called it a day early. We're going to go hike the mountain out back, get some exercise, try out my new personal safety device and look for antlers.
