  1. I don't know about anyone else, but I find Viglink extremely annoying. I mean, all right, I get why. But clicking a link that I think a forum member put in their post and then being brought to some completely irrelevant link its extremely annoying. Take this post, for example, http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/6142-makita-100-year-anniversary-tools-with-an-awesome-paint-job-team-teal-will-love-this/?p=60419, I think it is a link DR99 posted, and I click it because I am familiar with the person posting it and would assume the link is relevant to the subject, but it a viglink which leads to a website selling herbal supplements.Come on, really? It just seems like a really annoying way to create revenue. Maybe you could at least make the links a different color, as to differentiate which link the user intentionally posted and which are viglinks. .

  2. Just to let you know, Makita is releasing a new Brushless 36V (18V x2) Blower, XBU02Z and a new Brushless 36v (18V x2) String Trimmer with 1,200 more RPM than the XRU04Z trimmer next month. I will have them just as soon as the first shipments leave the warehouse.

If you have any questions about Makita tools, let me know!

Awesome, I've been hoping the blower was coming out here soon, since I first saw it on the Japanese Makita website.

  3. To be honest, between the massive amounts of snow we have had up here, and lots of overtime I have worked this winter, I really haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet. I let you know after I give it a good workout. Should be soon with the weather turning.

  4.

Sometimes when you want to switch from  drilling --> hammer drilling --> chipping you will have to turn the bit/chuck a little bit for the gears to fall in place. Else the switching wont work.

I use that drill all the time at work and have never run into that issue.

I was poking around on the Makita Japan site and saw this. If I'm reading it right it is more than 3 times as powerful as the current X2 blower. (13.4m3/min vs. 4.4m3/min). I've been itching to buy the blower, but now I might hold off until I can get my hands on this baby.

  6. So, ever since Makita released the X2 Chainsaw XCU02Z (formerly HCU02ZX2) I have been eyeballing it. Everywhere listed it as $369.00. Too expensive, especially considering I already own a gas saw. The other day I was on the HD website and I looked it up and they are selling it for $199.00! Sweet. i ordered it and it shipped today. Should be here by Monday. I can't wait to put it to use. Now I just need to get my hands on a couple 5.0 batteries.
