Problem solved. DeWalt now lists conversion kits on their Service Net parts site. You order the conversion kit from the model number that you're converting TO. I bought the 570 (29oz) so I order a conversion kit for the 560 (10oz)

I know exactly what you mean! I went for the big compressor/charger/inverter. I wish I had a need for the cart charger.

It's all about real estate. Shelf space. Every inch of every store is meticulously planned. I've also noticed that some products sit in too stock of certain stores for months and begin to show inventory online. I have a feeling it's part of their marketing strategy. Kind of like when a new pair of Jordan Shoes are released. Stores have them for 1-2 weeks before the release but can't sell them until a specific day to make sure each store has a fair shot in selling the products. I think we are seeing that with HD. they can't stock the shelves until all stores have product or they are waiting for shelf space contracts to expire for new planograms.

If you insist on doing it, put on a variable speed tool control to adjust the RPM's to a more appropriate speed.

I did blow up the compressor pump on day one. But my new one has been fine.

Wow! I can't imagine a conversion being more than $50-60 to make it appealing to the end user. Service parts are always more expensive.

I looked briefly online. I can't find P/N's in DeWalt.com to even look.

Anyone know where I can get the additional interchangeable canister trays for the DCE560? I'm considering purchasing the 10oz caulk gun but I really need the 29oz and the sausage packs to go with it. I know if I buy the 10oz gun, I'll need the 29oz version for a job and if I buy the 29oz, I'll need the 10oz or sausage canister. I just want to get it all in one swoop.

It's difficult to tell from the photo but it looks like it has the same texture as the "moisture indicators" on phones. They'll change color when they're exposed to moisture and ultimately leading to warranty denial.

Where'd you get the 9.0 from? I just got an email from Acme. But at $199, I'll wait for a deal.

If it's a Flexvolt dedicated tool, you can not use 20v max batteries. They don't even fit.

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is that the gear housing is perfectly symmetrical so you can unscrew the gear housing and rotate it 90 degrees to improve ergonomics if you're into production work with repetitive cutting.

I used mine yesterday to cut granite. I don't know what worse you could do to test it.

It did for sure! I even through on a 7" segmented wheel for a few cuts that I needed some depth for. You pull that trigger and it can get squirrelly on you. Definitely hold it off your work and let it get up to speed before cutting or grinding.

I updated some placeholders above with the progress. I used my new Flexvolt grinder to do ALL the cutting and I have to say that thing has every bit of the power of a corded grinder. Cut everything in one battery and switched the same battery over to my OMT to cut the cabinet face and undercut the decking.

There's 5/8" ply decking that's cut back just beyond the existing sink. It should have enough support while I cut, shape and polish. Then I'll cut the ply back for the new sink.
